If you are a group of cyclists or motorbikers, maybe this is the place for you, but, for a business traveller, no way. I was on a very low budget as they do not pay me for accommodation, so I searched the cheapest and closest place to where I had to be, this AGODA site is VERY misleading because the Holiday Village called me to say that the £24 that I have paid is only for a Caravan Site, and they were asking me what size Caravan I have got .... there was no mentioning in the AGODA booking about a caravan or a clear explanation of what am I paying £24 for, that was the first strike. Second is when I had to pay £40 extra for an upgrade which, in all honesty, I would have been better off sleeping in my car. They booked me into a hut, a wooden cabin shaped like a tent, with a huge bed but with a gap line right in the middle of it, which is REALLY felt. The checking in is really simple, they give you a code for the gates, they give you a code for the key box, and voilà, staff sounds really friendly over the emails and correspondence over Whatsapp, and the couple of maintenance guys I came in contact with, asking them about where the hut is, and where am I allowed to park were pretty helpful and pleasant, but, this is where the good stuff ends apart from the location, but we get to that later ..... I was given a Wi-Fi network and a password to join the "free Wi-Fi" they so proudly advertise, one of the reasons I booked was this, because I thought being in the middle of nowhere, no chance I will have mobile connectivity up there, I mean we are talking about England here, a country that's still in the pre-stoneage regarding connectivity, only to be told when I was in the room that "the huts are not connected to any wi-fi router ......" how convenient eh? Luck had it that my unlimited mobile internet worked fine, and I was able to do the things I needed doing, but, why advertise something that you can't live up to, when required? There is a kettle in the room, and a fridge, but, this is pretty much where the facilities end up, no running water, no toilet, you have to walk about 30 meters in the freezing cold (yes it was a very cold frosty night and windy) to use the toilet, get water for the kettle, or to have a shower ..... I already mentioned that the night was really cold, could have done with a heater that worked for more than 3 minutes at a time, well, this one didn't, it was starting, then stopping and not starting again unless you tweaked it, I slept in freezing cold, without even a proper quilt to cover myself with, just a thin blanket and the sheets ..... SO, SO BAD, what if I had someone old, who can't regulate their body temperature like I do, with me? Tv in the room, but the remote batteries, the ones that you can check how much "juice" is in them, completely drained, had to find a certain position in which to hold the remote so it gets direct line, to have a small chance to actually work, I repeat, maintenance guys around the site ....

It was stunning the staff are very friendly the pod we stayed in had a hot tub it was definitely a perfect weekend getaway for couples who enjoy the simple things in life and nature. Will definitely be going there again. You are able to order food there as well not a lot of options but very delicious and better than some restaurants.

My wife & I have just returned from a lovely & relaxing break, walking in Haslingden & Rossendale areas. We stayed in the ‘Nest’ lodge for two nights. The ‘Nest’ was clean, comfortable & cosy warm. With all you could wish for on a short self catering break. The accommodation was great value. Set in the landscaped grounds with ‘nature walk’ style footpaths, outdoor seating, fire pits & some lakes at the top of the site. There’s even a little onsite cafe bar ‘The Hayshed’ . We found all the staff we encountered to be polite, courteous & professional. Thank you for creating such a lovely environment to stay. We look forward to a return visit, whilst exploring further walks in the area.

I needed a few days time out so decided to give Rossendale Holiday Cottages a try. I have a motorhome and booked 3 nights on their motorhome pitches. The place is a real gem and was very pleased to have found it. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly. I tried the fishing ponds and was pleasantly surprised how many fish I caught. Will definately be back

We had the most beautiful escape at Rossendale. We stayed in Rose, it was clean, check in was swift (after a long journey). The young man in reception was a delight! As was the beer and chocolate brownies! Facilities are great. No complaints at all from us. Great value for money! We hope to visit again soon

We arrived to a stunning cottage. The staff were so helpful. The cottage and grounds very clean and tidy. It was just what we wanted peace and tranquility. The place is situated right near all public transport. We are already looking at dates to come back. Absolutely beautiful place can’t fault this place at all.
