In the mountains~ It is more convenient to drive by yourself! There are not many people, very quiet~ It takes about half an hour to drive from Santa Claus Village Drive into the woods of the hotel. There is a kind of lonely beauty!! It is also very mysterious... There are also deer in the hotel! It’s a pity that I didn’t see the northern lights this time

Everyone in the resort was so friendly, helpful and always polite. The area is exceptional! Frozen lake, sauna and jaccuzi by the lake, cozy restaurants and comfortable rooms. The complimentary transfer makes it very easy to reach the resort. We can only reccomend.

A Beautiful location and quiet resort with stunning views and sightings of the Northern Lights - fantastic if you’re looking to switch off from a busy life. The spa was lovely and as it’s small they manage attendance carefully. We stayed 3 nights in a deluxe room, family room and spent a night in one of the Aurora nests too. The rooms are very small although tastefully designed. We did find it frustrating however that our room wasn’t available for check-in until after 5pm and during our stay rooms weren’t cleaned before 5pm, if at all. It was hit/miss whether the bar would be open in the evenings. This is a new hotel that has yet to establish its operating processes but the staff are incredibly friendly- particularly Andrea at reception and Malcolm who brought us on a super Skidoo trip.

To say this is a relatively new resort it has a great set up and intimate feel to it. There is a lot of camaraderie between guests as we are all there for the same thing…the northern lights and love of Lapland. We stayed in both a tree house and a normal room. The tree house was amazing, quite large inside, styled beautifully and lovely views over the reindeer pen and lake. My only criticism was that it was very warm in the room, but nothing opening the door couldn’t help with! The standard room above the restaurant was also styled beautifully with a lovely lake view and was ideally located next to the restaurant, spa, Kota bar and the frozen lake ready to dart out at a moments notice to view the northern lights when your alert goes off. The spa was amazing, with so many facilities, saunas, hot tubs, 2 pools, ice plunge into the lake, salts and plenty of relaxing places. The only small criticism would be getting out of the hot tubs onto frozen ice was a challenge. Much to my friends amusement, watching me rolling around on the ice and snow! Perhaps a heated wooden panel or small heated hand rails would help. The Kota is a great place to have a drink after your dinner and hide out between the Aurora. It’s a great place to chat with other guests and share tips on photography and alerts. And toasting marshmallows was lovely too. The restaurant is lovely. A good choice of food and all tastefully prepared. The chef who comes to greet everyone is a lovely touch and something I see in 5* restaurants. There is also a good choice at breakfast so you won’t go hungry. Though we didn’t do any of the activities at this resort there looked to be a good selection.. note that you are 40 mins drive from Rovaniemi. The staff we met at every touch point were lovely and couldn’t be more accommodating, all so friendly and helpful. Especially Andres on reception. Very professional and friendly. The girls in the restaurant too were also lovely. Would love to come back, we had an excellent time.

The place is amazing, far from the city, with a top-notch spa and a good breakfast. The staff is very friendly. The highlight of the hotel is the spa. However, you can only book 2 hours if you stay for two nights, otherwise, you have to pay 50 euros per person for an additional 2 hours. The hotel is 45 minutes from the city, so without a rental car, transportation is very expensive (50 euros per person for each trip to the city). The room was very small and too hot, even with the radiator turned off, and it was impossible to open the window. There was no space to leave your belongings. The bathroom design was poor and very small; when you shower, the entire bathroom floods. The restaurant was good but quite basic. In conclusion, it’s an incredible place, but it doesn’t live up to a 5-star hotel standard or the price they charge. I believe all the negative aspects could be easily fixed to provide a better experience. There is a lot of potential, but for now, the value for money is mediocre.
