Stayed at the Smith and Western Tunbridge Wells so that I could visit family. stayed 3 nights as a solo guest. The food was great, the service both helpful and cheerful. My room was clean, comfortable bed and a lovely shower room.

What a lovely quirky place. It was great to see the old railway station still being used and the building enjoyed. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed incredibly comfortable. The decor was fantastic and we loved the lamps in the room. Everything had been thought about. There was a Tassimo in the room as well as a kettle with tea, coffee and hot chocolate on offer. Also 2 bottles of water for the evening. The room was equipped with an iron and ironing board, hairdryer and even a fan. The bathroom was clean and the shower powerful with plenty of towels. The following morning breakfast was delicious and the baked eggs and hash was divine. There was plenty on offer from cereals, jiuce, bread, croissants and a large choice of cooked breakfasts and of course endless tea and coffee. The staff throughout the whole stay were attentive and welcoming and we had a throughly enjoyable stay. The only thing I will add to the review is that the accommodation is above a bar *(which closes at 11) so you will hear the country music playing but this did not bother us at all. Parking also on site First class stay and we are already planning on coming back. Thank you

Now that my mother’s house has been sold, staying there is no longer an option when visiting her in the residential home she’s now in. I therefore had to look for a B&B in Tunbridge Wells other than Travelodge - what a nightmare that was. I had seen Smith and Western when I went shopping at Sainsbury’s and thought I would give it a go. It was the best decision I made!!! Upon arrival I parked in their private, free car park and then received a warm welcome from Dan who booked me in and showed me to my room - very courteous, very helpful and attentive throughout my whole stay! The room was AMAZING; great themed decor with a wonderful shower room en-suite. In the room was a Nespresso machine with complimentary coffee, tea and chocolate pods. There is free WiFi - a definite bonus these days. In the shower room there are wash and shower products provided - the towels are changed each day if used. In the wardrobe was an iron and ironing board and in one of the drawers was a hair dryer - all essential mod-cons!!! There was also a very comfortable chair and foot stool for chilling out in. Even though there was music playing downstairs in the bar and restaurant, the rooms upstairs are pretty much soundproofed and getting to sleep on the first night in a very comfortable bed was no problem at all. I’m 6’ 2” and fitted the bead easily!!! The breakfast choice - themed again - is HUGE and if you want to go the whole hog you could have a meal that would last you all day - pancakes, cooked breakfast and even, I believe, steak! I chose just scrambled egg with crispy bacon on toast with some coffee…..beautifully cooked… and served by Dan 😊. I had a 3 night stay at S&W; I got 3 great night’s sleep and 3 excellent breakfasts. I’ll be visiting my Mum every 3 - 4 weeks travelling up from Devon and can guarantee I will be going to S&W EVERY time.

Yeehaw! Was the perfect city/town break hotel to stay with my teenage son Cool Hand Luke! Ranch rooms were Uniquely comfortable, best buffalo chicken wings ever too! Fully recommend staying if visiting Royal Tunbridge Wells for location especially with children as has free parking directly behind hotel restaurant.

Just spent two nights at Smith and Western Hotel and bar Tunbridge Wells. Great base to explore the town.Comfy themed bedrooms .Had dinner in the bar on first night and two excellent breakfasts .Great food.All staff very friendly nothing to much trouble .Would definitely stay again.

What a place. We stayed the night in the hotel as we was seeing jimmy carr. The room was amazing so clean and looked amazing with the Indian themed room. Plenty of space in the room and great shower. We had dinner in the restaurant the service was fantastic, could not fault the sheriff. The food was the best I've had in a long time. Had the 10oz serlion. Cooked to perfection and the sides were beautiful. My partner had the mississippi melt. She loved it. We would recommend going here for dinner and we would definitely live to stay here again. We are going to gave to come back soon as our daughter is jealous.

I stayed as I was visiting with my company, to meet some clients check in was smooth, hotels rooms were great!! I was anit concerned at first but as soon as I entered the building I had a great chat with Riley, he is a credit to the business.
