Mantis Kivu Marina Bay Hotel

I was genuinely impressed during the Liberation Long Weekend by how Kivu Mantis delivers a perfect blend of business comfort and leisure escape. With the new additions in Nyungwe National Park, the hotel has truly elevated its experience—especially as staycations continue to grow in the area. From the very beginning, the warm welcome by Jackson set the tone. Damascene’s ever-present smile and strong leadership at the front office made everything seamless. Sauda and Fatuma brought culinary excellence and attentive care to every meal, making the restaurant feel like home. Coach Sam went above and beyond with his advanced skills and willingness to help, and the pool was spotless—clearly maintained to the highest standards. Kudos to the entire Kivu Mantis team for an unforgettable experience!

The hospitality and punctuality were perfect; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed the food—the breakfast was perfect, and the fruits were fresh and tasty. The room was clean upon our arrival, and they ensured it was regularly cleaned throughout our stay. Additionally, they provided pick-up and drop-off services at Kamembe Airport, and the cost was reasonable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend it to others and consider coming back in the future.

After a few tiring days in Kigali, I was eagerly looking forward to this stay to relax. From the moment of check-in, you’re welcomed with a refreshing drink and a smile. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and well-equipped. We were given a room with a perfect view of the lake. Ideal for relaxation. The hotel offers numerous activities, such as a spa, massages, hiking, and many others, so everyone can find something to enjoy. The breakfast and dinner are excellent, with beautiful presentations and plenty of choices. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel 100%. The only regret I have is staying only 2 nights. This is a very modern and spacious hotel. It has a large pool with a great view of Lake Kivu. Rooms were very nice and spacious. We had lunch and dinner at their restaurant. The food was very good. The menu is the same for both meals. Breakfast was disappointing. We had been told by two different restaurant servers that breakfast opened at 6:00. We showed up @ 6:00 to learn that breakfast opened @ 6:30. When we ultimately had breakfast we were able to get cold items from a buffet and could order a very limited selection of hot items. Overall it was pretty lame. We had much better breakfasts on this trip at hotels that weren’t nearly as nice. Breakfast aside, this is a great choice for Kamembe.

I highly recommend the Mantis Kivu Marina Bay Hotel. We had an absolutely fantastic experience! The staff were always available, attentive, and eager to assist with anything we needed. The waiter staff were equally incredible, providing exceptional service throughout our stay. It truly made for a memorable visit.
