For a visit to friends in Gstaad one night, we were recommended this hotel. Arrival was "interesting" since it seems to be located in a residential area, but once inside it looked very cosy. Very kind and helpful reception staff. Room was basic; can't say anything negative, but also nothing very positive. Was a bit cold and after mentioning that to the reception, they informed us this was due to there green/energy efficient system, but it would get better if we turned the heat up, which we did. Upon returning to our room, it was slightly better, including a distinctive "burning" smell. Breakfast was disappointing. Buffet looks nice, but upon closer inspection, the choices were not great. For the the one night it was fine and it served it's purpose, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays in the region. Not close (not walking distance) to Gstaad, nor to the skislopes. No idea in fact why it's located there.

We have been going to Spitzhorn now for several years for Christmas and summer. There truly is nothing negative that one can say. The service is impeccable, the rooms are really cozy, clean. The staff is always smiling and helpful and Ilse and Michel make you feel at home with all their caring and kindness. The food is excellent and everyone will always make sure you have everything you need, most accommodating. 10 minute walk to Saanen train station, bus services into Gstaad also 5-10 minute walk away, very practicle and well situated. I would highly recommend anyone this family orientated hotel with all it's important assets to make your stay memorable.

excellent value. food first class accommodation clean comfortable and lovely views to the mountains. we can highly recommend this hotel having stayed in all the hotels over years and better than some of the 5 star hotels.locally ……………...

An excellent and unforgettable experience at the Spitzhorn. The experience was full of great surprises, like being at home. The staff was amazing and they remembered my name and my favorite drink. They were very attentive ALL the time with a big smile. Rooms are very spacious with a beautiful view. Most of all, the owner/manager Michel was on top of things at all times. Breakfast was excellent to the last detail. I am certainly going back.

Our group of 10 business background friends recommend Hotel Spitzhorn as the ideal Gstaad area location with beautiful views , outstanding facilities and good food for a very reasonable price. It was an ideal large chalet feeling for our meetings and base for e-biking breaks as well as walking distance to wonderful restaurants. The owners and their teams' attention to hospitality provided an experience rarely found in hotels.

We’ve stayed at Hotel Spitzhorn before. This time we stayed with both of our kids. The room was spacious and the view is lovely, you can enjoy the sun on your own balcony while the kids take a nap. The food was excellent from Breakfast to Dinner. All the Staff has been great, helpful, welcoming, professional and very friendly. You can feel this Hotel is run with great care by the always present owners. We will be back.

Had a very relaxing time in this lovely hotel. The room was south facing with a nice balcony and views across to the mountains. We enjoyed the breakfasts and the staff all looked after us very well. Would love to return but fear the distance from Australia will not allow us to do it as often as we would like

A superb location to visit the beautiful Saarnen and Gstaadt... probably the best hospitality ever witnessed in my 15 years in Switzerland. Good sized rooms with balconies, some facing the majestic Alps, we had a family room for 4 persons with great beds. Nice and clean throughout- has a nice cosy and traditiional Swiss feel, lots of earthy wood used throughout and a real wood fire at night! Tasty gourmet restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Easy parking. Spa was perfect. Could pay a little attention to detail, shampoo in the spa had finished! And would it be too much to add coffee/tea facilities in the rooms? We do like a cup in the early morning :-) .. Will certainly visit again. Thank you to the superb owners who personally welcomed us and all the lovely hard working staff, you were just great!!! A trip to remember- special regards from Alvin our Norwich terrier...
