It is a traditional Ottoman building, a very beautiful small building. The boss and his family are very warm and friendly. They poured us tea anytime and anywhere, and also gave us snacks made by the boss's wife. Breakfast is freshly made, and in addition to traditional Turkish breakfast jam bread, there are also fried pasta, sesame bagels and seasoned omelettes.

The room was a bit cold, the radiator temperature was low. Due to its structure, it is forbidden to use instant heaters in the rooms. The towels were old. The location is within walking distance to touristic places. There is no food service other than breakfast. The family who runs it is very kind and helpful. Their breakfast was good. The TV did not work. We could not enjoy the view very much because the windows were small. It is a very suitable place for those who want to stay in a historical mansion and remember the feeling of a village house. You can easily choose it.

This truly is a family owned and operated business, starting with a personal welcome at check in. You leave your shoes downstairs, then walk up the stairs to your room. I got room #202, a large room with double bed and spare single, lots of space and great panoramic views over Safranbolu through the small window. Bathroom is small and basic, but adequate. If I had 1 negative it would be the very bad light in the room : 1 cold white ball hanging central from the ceiling, killing the charm of the authentic setting and making reading impossible. Breakfast starts late at 8am, but is deliciously freshly prepared by the lady of the house : sunny side up with tasty spices, cheese, some sort of rolled pancake, home-made jam and crispy bread. Location is not bad : easy walking down to center, but it's all the way back up returning and you may need a map to find it.

Mr.Kamil was very helpful and kind he helped us during our stay. Also in the kitchen, Duygu abla’s breakfasts were always on point and delicious and delicious we’re appreciate for her warmth and help. We are definitely gonna come back again.

If you want the true Safronbolu experience, this family run hotel is wonderful. I love leaving my shoes at the door in the shoe closet and heading upstairs in thr slippers provided. The family is delightful, accomodating, attentive and has wonderful suggestions for places to eat etc. The breakfast is a real village breakfast, complete with homemade jams and freshly fried sigora boreği among the rest of the fresh food. Everything is walkable from the hotel. Every detail in the room is so aesthetic and lovely. Don’t miss staying here!
