Travelodge St Albans City Centre

I stayed here for 2 nights. Whilst here my digital key which is on the app stopped working. I rang up via the app and was immediately helped and able to get into my room. This might be a self service hotel but help is there if you need it.

This is not a hotel. No clean towels, no room clean. Customers should be aware. Digital check in did not work. So you go on to the screen video for assistance and they’re busy and you have to leave an email address - you’re just trying to check in! No one at the bar to help either. When I asked about the lack of room cleaning (digitally because there are no humans) I got an automated reply telling me everything was self service but this is no clear on booking or arrival.

I had a great experience during my stay at Travelodge St Albans City Centre, and I want to give a special shoutout to two exceptional team members – Anastasios and Ian. They both went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and stress-free. Anastasios was incredibly professional, friendly, and always ready to help with a warm smile. He made the check-in process smooth and welcoming, which really set the tone for the rest of my stay. Ian was equally fantastic – attentive, courteous, and always willing to assist with any questions or needs I had. It’s clear that both of them truly care about the guests and take pride in their work. Their excellent service made a big difference and contributed to a very positive experience.
