Absolutely fabulous hotel! It was beautifully decked out with tasteful Christmas decorations, gorgeous Christmas trees and festive wreaths and fabulous illuminated figures in the welcoming foyer. As for the staff…….. Roberto, manager, was one of the best as were his reception staff, Ellie and Lara. So helpful and cheerful. Don’t ask what could be improved because it was the BEST!

What a fabulous place to stay ! A wonderful location, right in the middle of the beautiful old part of St Albans. Gorgeous gardens and , so pretty at this time of year. Plenty of parking . A lovely warm welcome from the reception team and we were blown away when we saw our four poster room . Our dinner was delicious, especially the beef which melted in the mouth. Lovely service in the elegant dining room. We had a great nights sleep. The breakfast buffet was amazing as was the cooked breakfast. We really enjoyed our special stay at St Michaels Manor, highly recommended.

From check in to check out the staff at the hotel were professional, helpful and genuinely nice. The hotel is quirky in layout which gives it a unique ambience adding to its overall charm and being within easy walking distance to the town this hotel is ideal for exploring St Albans. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Lovely family lunch here. The food was very good, tasty and beautifully presented - very good steak, excellent hake and the chocolate avalanche was a delight. Service was impeccable, very friendly and attentive. The hotel itself is beautiful, inside and out. A lovely experience and we will definitely return.

My husband and I got married here back in 2018 he surprised me with a night away with dinner for our valentines day 2025. The staff were incredible, the room beautiful and the grounds as beautiful as when we got married. It still hasn't lost its charm.

We celebrated our parents 60th Wedding Anniversary in the restaurant. There were 10 of us, food was excellent, service was too. Hepy was so helpful and really looked after us. We were a bit delayed and made a couple of last minute changes which were no issue. Would definitely recommend.

I only stayed for one night but this hotel was very welcoming and accommodating. The service was excellent throughout, including at reception and in the dining area. My bedroom was clean, stylish and very comfortable . It was a “winter package” deal which included dinner (which was absolutely delicious), bed and breakfast , extremely good value for the price. Rakesh provided excellent service in the restaurant. The breakfast was also wonderful, fresh fruit, yogurts, cheese, salami, cereals, and a variety of cooked foods on offer. Lovely view over the garden. I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance.

We were a group of 15 people for dinner it was really so good. The service was excellent not overpowering (especially from Mark and the lady on the reception who was warm and welcoming - sorry don't know her name). The food was very good. I have never had such lovely tender tasty lamb (amongst other dishes). It was warm in the restaurant with tablecloths on the table (unlike so many places these days). It was special and made our evening. I heard nothing but compliments from our group on every aspect. They never rushed us out at the end - I can't wait to visit again.
