Premier Inn Blackpool Airport

Me and the guys stayed here for a concert and night out and it was top notch. Staff smiling and chat to you every time you walk through without fail. Place was quiet, clean and comfortable. What more can you want from a prem? We will definitely be back here for our next Blackpool trip

I stayed at the Premier Inn next to Blackpool Airport with a member of my family. We booked a triple room online via the Premier Inn website, the site allowed us to make the booking, but when we arrived at the hotel a triple wasn't available, so we took a double and we went about making up the single bed in the room ourselves. The room we were allocated was room 102 on the first floor, this room is directly above the hotel entrance and reception area, if you are given this room ask for another as you will not sleep. There is clearly a problem with fire doors at this hotel. Both the fire door on the ground floor leading to the stairs and the fire door at the top of the stairs on the first floor need adjusting as they both bang loudly - both can be heard in room 102. Also the staff door to the reception area clashes and can be heard in the room if not closed carefully, in fact sitting under room 102 there are at least five doors, plus people constantly coming and going - noise is a form of torture! It was very noisy during the check in period but we thought that after 11:00 pm it would quieten down, and it did to a certain extent. But we then got woken up on multiple occasions by banging doors at 2:45 am, 4:40 am and then again around 5:30 am; we gave up trying to sleep. Eventually I went to reception and asked to be moved to see if we could get a few hours sleep before travelling, we were moved to a room on the other side of the building, these rooms look onto the airport. For thirty minutes or so things were quiet...until the noise from the airport began, beginning with a helicopter taking off then multiple small aircraft, the noise was horrendous; at this point we were in hysterics, fits of laughter, here we were in a hotel, we had paid to sleep yet we were wide awake and exhausted. There has been no attempt to dampen down the noise from the airport - the exterior walls of the hotel are extremely thin - a sleeping bag next to the runway would certainly have been cheaper. We are not the only guests that have experienced the madness of room 102, there is another review on Trip Advisor that mentions this room! We left the hotel tired and in need of sleep - don't take room 102 at the Premier Inn Blackpool Airport Hotel.

Poorly sound proofed.... Old creaky floors if a neighbouring room gets upto pee ~ you can't help but hear them walking around. Rooms were clean and spacious No lift Staff were efficient and helpful. Decent free parking on-site plenty of space for vans.

Friendly and helpful staff at the hotel and pub next door, where we had breakfast and an evening meal. But the coffee was not the best at breakfast. Just instant not very nice. A pump flask of hot water was not hot enough for the coffee let alone tea!

Second time I have stayed with this premier inn, was not disappointed. The room was lovely and clean, and smelt amazing! Bed was very comfortable and had a good night sleep. Staff were lovely and friendly. Will stay here again next time I come to Blackpool.

A very good basic hotel. The location is good and handy for local buses. It is also only a 5 minute walk to Starr Gate and the start of the Blackpool tram system. It is also adjacent to a Lidl supermarket and a 5minute walk to Morrisons and Blackpool retail park. Also attached is the Air Balloon pub where breakfast is served and also attached good selection of evening meals. The rooms are usual Premier Inn but very clean with comfortable silent night beds. They also have triple glazed windows which keeps the outside noise to a minimum. The staff are very friendly and the check in was very quick.
