Despite a good telephone exchange at the time of booking, I am terribly disappointed with our stay in the accommodation! As soon as we arrived, no one to welcome us. A person who seemed to be doing work asked us our name as well as the name of the reserved room. I don't see where people found a warm welcome... for our part it was totally non-existent! We had difficulty communicating because the latter did not speak French. We arrived in the reserved room: The blue one. First impression: a musty smell... without being manic, the cleaning of the bathroom leaves something to be desired. On the positive side, given the few guests, we were offered a larger room: the Honeysuckle. The left bed frame is not holding and several times during the night gives way. No soap in the dispenser even though it is indicated on the reservation "toiletry pack", the photos of the bathroom speak for themselves and surprise when lifting the curtain of the room... dried excrement or vomit? Pitiful! We try to ignore these few details, especially the total absence of the owner. I don't see where the other guests received a warm welcome; they were very lucky because we managed on our own. Indeed, exceptionally that evening, the accommodation was not serving food, from what I understood. But I remain incomprehensible as to the absence of the owner or the non-existent presentation of the functioning of the accommodation. We are therefore forced to eat outside as there is no evening meal and upon our return (around 7:30 p.m.), the front door is closed with a digital code blocking our way (obviously the code was not disclosed upon our arrival, just like the wifi code which was included in the price). Here we are, stuck outside despite our knocks on the door. After 45 minutes, we decided to take a look around the property and miraculously, the dining room door was open, in the dark and still no one... anyone could have broken in. Still no one despite active searches in the house. The house seems abandoned... most of the rooms are cluttered with storage. The owner will arrive at 9:30 p.m., explaining a family incident, which I completely understand but it is customary to warn customers in this kind of case. As for the decoration, each to their own taste: very simple, 1930s style, but the building deserves renovation... lots of cracks, wallpaper torn off in some places, a distressing atmosphere reigns there. In addition, the old and adorable dog was barking in the middle of the night, we were forced to go downstairs and we realize that the water bowl is empty... we allowed ourselves to fill it and since then no more noise.
