We arrived at the Hotel (5people) and asked if we could have a table for dinner. Monday evening around 19:30. It was 32’c outside so very hot. We were told we need a reservation…..I looked around and said why, it’s empty. There were two other people in the whole restaurant. No, you cannot have a table!!! Very rude and unhelpful from the staff. The hotel needs to look at the reviews with some urgency. We would have easily spent €200+ euro, but turned away. Lazy attitude.

We had an early dinner on the terrace. Beautiful setting with amazing views. Service was polite and professional. Food was excellent. We really enjoyed the whole experience. Feels like a very special place and pretty good value when compared to mere “normal” restaurants. We will definitely return.

Booked for nine nights but we could only put up with four. On two nights we were woken up by noisy guests on the terrace, at 4AM on the second night and 1AM on the last night. Nobody answering the telephone on reception to deal with it. We also rushed out of the hotel due to a fire alarm late one afternoon. It turned out to be a false alarm which we only found out from a passing employee on his way to the restaurant and who offered no apology. The hotel may have lovely views but it is let down by the indifferent attitude of the staff.

It's a bit like being in an Agatha Christie novel. The building is beautiful and the lounge room/salon is amazing. We stay here a lot and the hotel, the position, the views, etc are all brilliant. The staff a really friendly and the breakfast is quite good, too. We always look forward to escaping to this little gem for a few days.

Two night stay in a superior sea view room. Recently renovated bedroom and bathroom, very clean and comfortable. Magnificent view directly on the sea. Small terrace. Breakfast in the room, plentiful and punctual. So the stay could have been idyllic, but: The room allocated to us was facing a staircase / lift installed outside for work on the upper floor, with a generator... So it was impossible to take advantage of the terrace, to take a siesta, in short, a ruined stay when the hotel was practically empty... Why was this room allocated?? No explanation, nor the slightest commercial gesture... Too bad...

I am leaving delighted with an 8-day stay in this establishment where I stopped for one night more than 10 years ago! The building is of incredible architecture: detail the different elements represented such as dolphin, salamander, face etc... on the exterior parts (facade, window frames, arcades...), take a look at the living room with fireplace , fully furnished Louis XIII and admire its stained glass windows... linger on the staircase which goes upstairs, noticing the details of the wrought iron banister, the torches on the wall etc... without a doubt this place has a soul! In addition, the services are impeccable (and I am surprised by the comments left by some): - Charming staff, whether it is the management or the maid, everyone is smiling, friendly and attentive . - Impeccable hotel (good bedding, excellent room service...) - Many details which enhance the already existing assets: notably small fridge and Nespresso machine in the superior rooms (perhaps in the others as well... to check) - Restaurant with a choice menu (and an incredible view!), but also a brasserie, which also offers quality Room Service (some 5 stars should take note!) - Ideal location facing the ocean and When you have a room with a sea view, it’s simply idyllic! Congratulations to the Management for having managed to preserve this place's soul and uniqueness, while combining modern comfort (wifi, TV, fridge, Nespresso machine, excellent bedding, restaurant and brasserie, swimming pool, etc.)! I almost forgot one last detail: very sensitive to noise, I never heard people in neighboring rooms, proof of good soundproofing! The only “sound” heard during my stay, but searched for to the point of leaving the bedroom window open at night: that of the surf! a real pleasure to fall asleep to!!!
