Les Bastides Saint Paul

This is a very special place. Rooms are well-appointed and very quiet. The bed is great and the sheets are high quality. Feels much more like a resort than a 3-star hotel. The breakfast buffet is well worth the money and has plenty of variety including freshly made pancakes, fruit, fresh-squeezed orange juice, croissants, boutique jams, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and more. Joel the owner is always around and gives this place a very personal feel. No dinner, but the “snacking” menu has pizza, wraps, salad, beer, wine and very nice ice cream sundaes. We made dinner—on our patio—out of the snacking menu most nights. We spent our last 5 nights of our trip here and could easily have spent more. Did I mention the pool? It is just perfect. We were here with very hot weather and spent a lot of time in and around the pool. I’d come back in a heartbeat. It is so hard to find a hotel like this one at this price anywhere.

Gorgeous charming hotel with lovely breakfast, well kept swimming pool, spacious rooms and staff who are incredibly helpful and kind. Kids loved it here. It’s only a short Uber ride to Saint Paul De Vence, making it an ideal resort for a relaxing holiday in south of France. Thanks for having us!

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Swimming pool is well-maintained and the room with balcony was clean and perfect for a family trip. You can see some of the surrounding mountains from the breakfast area, other than that it's lots of pretty trees and flowers. Our room had air con and a minibar fridge although do consider hiring a car as the shops aren't in close walking distance. Kids can play table tennis and there's a piano too. St paul de vence is close by and has some wonderful artisanal shops selling traditional soaps and floral products of the region. The Fragonard store in St paul Town centre is fantastic. If you can't get over to Grasse, pop in there for a selection of their soaps, perfumes and tableware, also lovely tops, dresses and scarves. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay this is it. Near all the main towns and villages such as Vence, tourrettes sur loup, Cagnes sur mer. It's 40 minutes away from Cannes, where you can book a quick ferry ride over to the beautiful island of Sainte Marguerite. Fantastic for nature lovers. If booking Uber trips note that there's a cut off limit at Tourrettes, ubers do not go to tourrettes or beyond that town in the direction of the mountains so don't get stuck booking your return car! All in all we had a very enjoyable trip. Thank you to Joel and his wife for welcoming us.

Hotel us run by a family - Joes & Alla's genuine warmth and hospitality create an environment where guests feel less like customers and more like welcome friends. They're always ready with a smile, a helpful suggestion, or a friendly chat that makes you feel right at home. I really felt looked after - even had my personal yoga mat! The room was very clean, spacious and tastefully decorated with an eye for detail. Evidently, the owners put a lot of love and care into every aspect of the hotel. Loved the breakfasts there too - the food was delicious and accompanied by an amazing view. The nearby village, Saint Paul de Vince, is an absolute treasure. Its beauty is captivating, with charming streets, local shops and lots of history. I'll definitely be back.

This hotel was a quiet little patch of paradise, where we could savor the peace and the birdsongs off the little private terrace. There is a large grocery store 4 minutes away and an artisan bakery as well, so we stocked up the mini-fridge in our room. Saint Paul de Vence was an easy drive away and we were able to enjoy it late and early without the crowds. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely enjoy returning here again someday.

The hosts are very charming and really make you feel at home. We had a wonderful week together in very relaxing and comfortable accommodation with a large well air-conditioned family room (large double. And two singles). There’s a nice swimming pool to cool off in with plenty of sun beds and we had a private outdoor terrace with two sofas and a coffee table and another table and chairs. There’s a games room with pool table and a boule court. It’s very well located between St Paul village (definitely the prettiest location along the Cote d’Azure) and Cannes-sur-Mer and there’s good open air shopping mall nearby with some chain type dining options (Italian was good and we had some good burritos for lunch). We would definitely stay again here.
