The hotel maintains cleanliness and boasts pleasant rooms, albeit showing signs of aging. Despite choosing it based on food reviews, our dining experience fell short; the avocado and salmon lacked freshness, and the ceviche was disappointing. The staff, however, remained courteous. Notably, it's crucial to clarify that the property isn't beachfront; reaching the beach involves a walk through neighboring properties with no-trespassing signs. Regrettably, our stay was marred by a lack of transparency during check-out. While we booked through a third party, which already charged the room rate plus $90 in fees, we were unexpectedly hit with an additional resort fee at check-out, nearly doubling the initially advertised room rate. Had this been communicated earlier, we might have opted for the beachfront Don Cesar beach suites with more amenities.
