This is a lovely little hotel right in the centre of St Maxime with easy access to teh promenade and boats across to St Tropez. What made this hotel was the owners, Guillam and Severine who were a ,ovely couple and gave us lots of local information for us. A real find for us and we will definitely be staying again. We absolutely loved it. The hotel can only be recommended and is worth the 3 stars 😘. We were warmly welcomed, the room was absolutly clean. It is super central and everything is within walking distance. Thank you very much for the great stay. The host makes the lemon jam himself and even if not everything was always available at the buffet, since some guests ate more than usual, refills were immediately provided. It's really warm there and we really fell in love with the hosts and would come back any time. Greetings from Cologne Ute and Susanne

We stayed here because it was cheap and in the centre of town. The room was clean and we were met when we arrived to assist with parking although we were lucky and scored a spot on the street outside the hotel.

The hotel is very charming, well located in an awesome city near St Tropez, the rooms are good, but the air conditioning didn´t work very well. The staff is very good but work only until 7:00 PM. The overall experience is very good.

We had a wonderful stop at le Chardon Bleu in Sainte Maxime. In the heart of the city center, a few minutes stroll from the beach and the harbor. Good parking facilities. Nice and clean rooms. A delicious and homemade breakfast. The owners are a couple, with a warm and friendly attitude. Very service minded and helpful. We will return. Very good value for money. Jan Svensson

There is no better hotel in all saint maxim, the owners go above and beyond in every regard possible. They have made my stay such an amazing time looking after every aspect of situations these people are Angels on earth. Thank you and I look forward to coming back and staying again.

Mixed feelings bij dit hotel...ligt in het centrum dus leuk, maar het is oud...de eigenaars doen hun best, maar smorges wil ik gewoon mijn koffie en geen eigen gebak ofzo. Het grootste probleem voor ons was het terras..dit lag vol met uitwerpselen van meeuwen. 2 ligbedden en 2 tafels lagen helemaal vol...na een regenbui paar dagen later was dit iets beter maar dit kan niet de bedoeling zijn....we kregen wel een goedkope parking in de buurt aangeboden dus dit viel mee. Ook ontbijt kon iets uitgebreider...ene dag Franse kaas, volgende niet tenzij je het vroeg.....ook de bar was er niet denk ik want om 19u was er geen personeel meer....

Icy room - room 20 - to be avoided in winter especially as the bathroom - separated by 2 doors from the room - has no heating. Impossible to take a shower at 15 or 16°. The boss was insensitive to my displeasure but his wife had another room prepared for me the next morning. But I wasted the morning waiting for the other room to be ready. Not a word of apology from the boss!!! Moreover, what was my surprise to see at the time of checking that he had already debited the bank card given as guarantee even though I had planned to pay it with another card - of course without notifying me!!! ! with, if I had not reread the note, 3 nights were counted instead of 2!!! Very average maintenance: a switch did not work in room 10, no skirt hanger, - I went to get some in the room I had just left - windows in the breakfast room very dirty!!! homemade pastry and homemade jams for breakfast but no fruit!!!

Nous avons passé dix nuits au chardon bleu. L'hôtel beneficie d'un emplacement exceptionnel tant pour la plage que pour le centre ville (restaurants, magasins). Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le service chaleureux et aidant. Les propriétaires, Guillaume et sa femme, également tres chaleureux, sont toujours disponibles et d'excellents conseils. Nous y retournerons lors de notre prochain séjour à Sainte Maxime. PS: Sans oublier bien sûr nos amis à 4 pattes, Bart et Azard. (les chiens des propriétaires)
