It exceeded all our expectations. The rooms are very spacious and beautiful, with very comfortable and spacious beds and a good bathroom. An incredible breakfast, such as various products, omelettes, eggs, pancakes, etc. what they did to you at the time. Great ease of hiring external services and tours through the hotel. Staff very nice and attentive. Located on a beautiful beach in Sal Rei to which our bedrooms had views. This beach was also very uncrowded so it was very pleasant to spend time there. Its terrace with jacuzzi also surprised us a lot. The cocktail service is spectacular. From this same terrace or from the beach where the hotel is located you can see beautiful sunsets.

Good value, great location, lovely views from the rooftop bar, OK breakfast and some lovely staff. But - a bit grubby and some strange attitudes adopted by some of the staff. The super-friendly bar tender and cleaning ladies were fantastic, but the attitudes of the rest of the staff ranged from disinterested to borderline hostile. Nothing to do with the hotel, but be careful on the beach - I had some cash stolen whilst sunbathing there.

The hotel is nicely situated. However..breakfasts were disappointing, it took a constant effort to ask for the empty trays to be refilled, and to provide plates to eat off. The restaurant was overrun by flies entering through an open door. There was no hot water for 3 days, and when I spoke to the manager, he said there was a problem with the electrics connected to the solar panels. I asked when it might be fixed, and was told he had no idea- the part was on another island waiting to come over. We left after 3 days and went to Riu Karamboa Hotel. No blame can be attached to Wagner, the manager. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. I would also never use Loveholidays again. They're difficult to contact to complain, the call centre is in India so there is a language problem- and they've also recently dropped out of ABTA, so your holiday is not guaranteed. I would also advise caution when booking with them- the holiday insurance they provide is by an extremely low rated company whose reviews are almost all negative.

We've been here for a week and enjoyed the hotel. It's walking distance from the beach and the "center" including supermarket, cafes and plenty restaurants. The rooms have air condition, a fridge, and a (tiny) balcony from where we had a grand view to the beach and the sea. Overall, some brushing up would be great, but in the end everything was in working order, clean and even the Wi-Fi OK (though, oddly enough, in some parts of the room coverage was low, but 80m apart from the hotel on the beach it was excellent). The food terrace is a place where you would like to hang around even outside meal or bar time, just to enjoy the view and relax. Recommended (in particular in comparison to the "tourist prisons" arrangiare St. Monica beach.

Always very friendly and helpful staff. Great manager. The best tourism and gastro employees on the whole island. Thank you for the lovely time, the great breakfast buffet and your friendliness! I felt very welcome. Very delicious buffet for breakfast, great choice. The room wasalways very clean. Close to town, restaurants, kite beach.

Plus Points - Brilliant location, more or less on the beach, great views Really nice rooftop bar. Negative Points - The rooftop bar opens when it feels like it. Every time I left the room and tried to return my keycard didnt work....every time.. Air con with all the strength of an asthmatic six year old on an egg and spoon race. The bathroom lock jammed, which meant I was unable to use the loo over night..! The guy who repaired it knock the hell out of it with a hammer, it snapped off and the door opened. "Fixed" he said quite proudly. Shower tap feel off onto my foot. Wasn't a single clean surface everyone was scuffed. Breakfast, dried bread, reconstructed ham, unidentified cheese. TV it turned on and 3 channels were available, very nostalgic, took me back to my youth. So in conclusion, as someone else said on here.....OK for somewhere to sleep.

We spent our kitesurfing holidays there - for sleeping only it‘s good but if you like to have a good or at least average breakfast you better do not choose Ouril Hotel Agueda. After buying our own things, they also placed a bit more to offer. No vegetables, one jam (which nobody really ate), one sort of cheese and one sort of sausage. Bit of fruits and one kind of a juice. The stuff is mostly friendly. Only a few are speaking english. Otherwise it‘s good located. 10min by walk on the beach to reach Morabeza Beach Bar/ Kite Station. At night you can listen to the sounds of the waves, hitting the beach. The room has been clean and looking nice. If you want, they will clean up your room everyday - otherwise put a note outside and they will leave it. So Boa Vista for sure again - but Ouril Hotel probably not.

The airport pick up worked well, as did the check in. Sleep quality is very good with rooms to any side of the hotel. The hotel as a whole is very tatty. The lift was dirty, the walls are marked everywhere and the very basic room furniture is also scratched, well used. it would all need a deep redecoration. The TV did only have 2 channels, none with English news. This is fine for a 2 night stay but a holiday, rather not. the b'fast was basic too. The entire location of Sal Rei is in decay due to large travel companies having luxury resorts established way out of town, where people have all inclusive. Few tourists come into Sal Rei. This has the benefit that local restaurants are for the locals and offer great food, notably the Te Manche, about 400 m along the beach from this hotel.
