Perfect ski-in, ski-out hotel! The room was spacious, comfortable and had unlisted amenities such as microwave, box fan, humidifier, and access to a ski locker in the basement. Cocoa or coffee also available in the lobby all day. Daily sit-down breakfast for 2 people is included daily for each room. This is at the St. Bernard restaurant downstairs, and the breakfast was fantastic! Solitude village is a great little place, the Thirsty Squirrel bar is fun, the Stone Haus pizza was excellent and very reasonably priced. There is a general store as well with a small supply of essentials that you may have forgotten (food, toiletries, etc). I would absolutely stay here again!

We loved our stay at the Inn at Solitude! The staff is what made it! Everyone was incredibly nice and did what they could to make our stay pleasant. I had read some previous comments about not enough food choices. Just remember you’re on the top of a mountain so pack well. Bring food. Bring everything you might need. They do have the restaurant on site as well as a pizza shop with salads outside. The pizza shop was a fair price for up at a ski resort and the discounts for breakfast were much appreciated! You can ski to apex which is a more advanced lift or hop on the shuttle over to Link and Moonbeam. You can also take a small hike up a hill to link if you want to avoid the shuttle. The ski lockers are very helpful! Utilize club solitude. It’s so nice! We loved sitting in the hot tubs outside and soaking in the fresh mountain air. The game room in club solitude was really fun too! Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful location. You can walk right out to the bottom of the ski lift. Amazing service! They need new sheets and towels- they were worn and rough. Food at this resort is not great, and is expensive. The skiing, however, is wonderful! Hardly ever a line to wait in for a lift!

Sydney was phenomenal helping us set up our trip. She explained proximity to slopes, ski storage and restaurants. I wish every hotel had such a valued employee to explain details. She is just amazing and was so helpful. Looking forward to our trip!

Our group stayed at The Inn at Solitude in two rooms on Saturday July 29. There were three issues. 1) We were told on arrival that the rooms were not air conditioned. It was a very hot day and the rooms did not get to a comfortable temperature until the middle of the night. 2)There was a very large and noisy party (wedding group?) right outside our windows. Since the windows needed to be open, their very loud reveling sounded like it was, well, right outside our window. They didn’t break up until after 2 am and were not asked to hold it down by the hotel. 3)Upon arrival I accepted the fees for a valet service because the parking lot is some distance from the hotel. I was told to wait by the cars. No one showed up to help with the luggage or parking. The front desk said he told me to bring the keys to the desk, but he had told me to wait at the cars. I hauled the luggage and parked the cars myself. The restaurant in the building was really good for breakfast. The ski area is pleasant in the summer and apparently it is a great place to party into the night. The rooms were large, clean and nice. Plan your trip when it isn’t hot, plan on parking your own cars and carrying your luggage for some distance, and maybe join the party.

Mixed emotions. I will say it snowed the entire time we were there and the plows could not keep up with the snow. Also this is not really ski in/ski out. There is a short hike that involve walking up a snowbank to get to lifts. The place is a little rundown, the rooms are small but you go there to ski, not stay in room. The ski lockers are helpful. The front desk people are very helpful and pleasant. Try to accommodate all your needs. Definitely do the valet parking. They cleaned all the snow off the car which was incredible work during the intense snow.

The vent in our room sounds like a pa system speaker blasting us with voices and laughter from another room or area of the hotel. The lady at the front desk was already aware this was a problem since when I started to tell her about it she finished my sentence. There was no door on the bathroom and the curtain only extended 1/2 way to the floor and was not wide enough to close. When I complained and requested a 1/3 refund upon checking out, they offered to give me a credit of less than 1/3 to be used on a future visit to Solitude. I have no plans to go back there and they have refused a refund.

Initially, we were concerned about our car being parked so far away from the inn, but the staff helped us unload/load with a golf cart, and the one-time valet service of $12 brought the car near the entrance whenever we needed it and cleared the windshield of ice and snow. Yes, the rooms are dated but they are very clean and well-maintained. It seemed odd that there are no microwaves in any of the rooms, but if you need one they'll bring it up to your room. There are very few choices for bars and restaurants in the area and they all close down early in the evening. After four nights, it got a bit boring (and expensive) to keep revisiting them. We didn't bother with the breakfast buffet area by the lobby (it seemed way overpriced). If you bring food like we did, keep in mind that the fridge is small. We stored our prepackaged frozen food on our balcony, but the next morning it was devoured by a very large crow. It's a very short walk to the ski lifts and free ski lockers were available downstairs. Hot tub and pool were very good. Overall, a very pleasant stay!
