This hostel is in the heart of Pelourinho, the historic centre of Salvador. It is clean, spacious, good wifi and had hot water. Our bed however was extremely old and creaky, every time we turned in the night, we woke each other up. My partner and I took a tour to the islands of Frades and Itaparica which was organised through the hostel. It was a good tour, unfortunately the weather let us down that day! The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful but it was difficult to communicate at times as no one spoke English, and we didn’t speak Portuguese. Overall it was a good hostel and I would recommend if you want to stay in Pelourinho.

O hostel fica em um casarão em frente a Escadaria do Paço, na Ladeira do Carmo, a poucos metros do Pelourinho. Meu quarto tinha uma vista incrível! Fiquei no quarto compartilhado misto com 9 camas. Cada cama possui luminária individual e tomada. Estão disponíveis lockers espaçosos (o meu coube meu mochilão e todas as minhas coisas). Vale destacar que o quarto possui ar-condicionado (essencial na Bahia) e banheiro. Em um dos andares do hostel temos acesso a uma cozinha comunitária equipada com geladeira, fogão, microondas e utensílios. Recomendo!
