A hotel very well placed on the square, and police most of the day and evening.
A small downside for the noise inside the hotel with the staff who make no effort to be discreet when checking in new guests, at any time of the night…
The staff is very helpful, and the reception team speak English
A special mention for the breakfast which is very complete, and the possibility of being in complete darkness in the room to rest

Small and cosy hotel right in the heart of the old town. After the long day outside we enjoyed simply sitting in the dinning room watching to the Se square. The girls at the reception were very helpfull - some tours we had booked online in advance, and they helped us to book an old town tour on site. Best regards to giude Pedro! We enjoyed his manner of telling and a perfect sense of humour.

Thank you very much to everyone in the CafeBahia hotel team, from the Front Desk amazing Adrian, Gabriel, Marcelo and Leanna, to the kitchen team with a delicious exotic breakfast to the Housekeeping team with daily fresh sheets and towels. You all worked hard and delivered a TOP NOTCH experience with your concierge local tips on safety, culinary, “Blocos” info, events scheduled, cultural point of interest. We visited Feb 7-10, 2024 During Carnival, Optimal location “Prace de Se” to experience “Pelourinho” authentic festivities. Clean spacious bedroom and bathroom (Shower). Absolutely ! we will be back again ! The team made the difference ! Thank you all !

We are a family of 5 including 3 teenagers and we had the best stay at BahiaCafe Hotel. The hotel facilities were nice, the location in the middle of Pelourinho was perfect and the breakfast was delicious. But the best part was our concierge Juri. He was super helpful and gave us good tips for the city and helped us arrange a lot - and top of all - he is a really nice guy

Excellent location in the heart of the historic center of Salvador. You can walk (or take the elevator) to most major destinations. Michel and team were also very helpful in coordinating travel to Morro de São Paulo and Boipeba. The rooms are nice with some home-like touches and the breakfast service is a great way to start your day.

Bahiacafe Hotel is a beautifully decorated place, which fits really into the city. Everything is very authentic, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. We had a room with a French balcony, with distant side view to the sea. A big advantage is that every Taxi- and uber-driver knows BahiaCafe. I especially loved the breakfast - excellent fruit, cakes and very crisp bread selection. The bathrooms are clean and well equipped. The staff is very caring. All in all a very authentic and Salvadorian experience which is to recommend.

The location is unbeatable without a doubt! But everything else is! The bathroom has no door! And when we asked to change rooms, they told us that all of them were like that (a shame, because you can see the effort they've made to restore this old building). But openwork window shutters are not acceptable for a bathroom in which the extractor fan didn't work either. Not to mention the mosquitoes that swarm and the hotel doesn't have any kind of repellents. The inn is pleasant and well located, but it needs to improve a lot in terms of service.

Un hôtel situé dans le centre historique. Un peu bruyant le soir, mais pas la nuit. Chambre correcte et confortable. Le petit déjeuner est très bien. Si les chambres sont bien climatisées, aucune des parties communes ne l'est et on en profite pas alors qu'elles sont bien décorées. Un bon rapport qualité/prix.

Ottima posizione nel centro storico. Per girare intorno a Pelourinho è perfetto. Le parti comuni sono piacevoli, con una bella sala biliardo. La sala colazione è molto carina, al primo piano con un bel affaccio sulla Praca da Sé. Colazione a buffet, con possibilità di ordinare uova; qualità media rispetto ad altre strutture di pari livello dove abbiamo soggiornato. La nostra stanza superior dava sulla strada laterale, molto stretta e poco luminosa; stanza peraltro abbastanza ampia. Il bagno non aveva la doccetta al water, come nella maggior parte delle pousade dove abbiamo soggiornato (grande scomodità!); al lavandino manca l’acqua calda.
