As a single female travelling to Saly has been challenging, the unwanted and relentless attention from men very off putting. Saly is the heart of tourism in Senegal, so if you are looking for the real Senegal here is not the place to find it. That said, this is certainly one of the nicest hotels in the area, with beach and town security presence. Great for a short (week or 2) all inclusive beach holiday. Pros Great location for town, amenities, banks, and to explore Saly / surrounding areas Directly on the beach with a boundary to stop hawkers coming close to you Good pool area Nice modern, clean and comfortable rooms with safe & plentiful hot water Very good hot and cold breakfast choices, with great coffee Cons Very, very Francocentric, most staff do not speak English Shockingly bad internet access on beach and in beach area rooms No tea and coffee making facilities in room Lots of corporate events making breakfast super busy some days Beach not utilised on an evening for bar / restaurant Super expensive beer 4500 xof small btl Only French/Senegal TV (as expected but would be nice to have at least ONE English movie channel or other choice rather than just BBC news) Goat kept out back not properly cared for

I wanted to book 3 nights but only after I cancelled my driver and car the front office manager informed me that the hotel has only 2 nights available…they didn’t even propose to rebook me somewhere else. Disappointing customer service there. Anyway I stayed for 2 nights. The food and location are great and beach is very clean compared to everything else I had seen so far in Senegal. The gym is beyond old and outdated. They didn’t have any basic amenities such as a vanity kit, and unfortunately on the last day I killed a cockroach in the room.

Modern clean rooms, nice swimming pools , nice beach. WiFi not reliable food terrible example the French fries at breakfast are always cold, even immediately after refill from kitchen they taste like they are left over from previous day tasting of starch. No bar food in between meals. Rooms are normally quiet but some nights music kept me awake until 5am when it stopped. It’s a real shame this hotel could be a favourite but the food and WiFi spoiled my experience.

It's not all inclusive! Some drinks are not included, such as wine, which is only served with meals. Checkin and checkout are strict, even without maximum occupancy. At 3pm the accommodation wasn't ready and they didn't want to make the checkout more flexible. Food in the buffet restaurant without quality and without choice. Disco with musty smell. t The Show at night was good.

We stayed at Palm Beach 20 to 27 February 2023 for my partner's birthday. the hotel itself is lovely and sits in some very well kept gardens and it is right one the beach. We upgraded to a suite and the views of the sea were just wonderful to wake up to everyday. But.... First of all if you don't speak French, then expect a very frosty service from the reception tea and the guest relations manager - who reminded me of an African Dictator from the 70's think Ida Amin in French with a bad suit! Reception staff really let the place down, they are not interested and it seems like everything is far too much trouble for them and you are interrupting their day. The maids which look after the room cleaning are 100% different and really can't do enough to help. Bar staff are good too and if you don't have to deal with a supervisor in the restaurant - they are also full of it... then you will probably have an OK meal. Probably our biggest mistake was going All inclusive with Tui - never again! There is not Tui rep visiting this hotel and we had to really complain to get a visit as we were bewildered but the way that Palm Beach operate. On 4th Trio website is says there is a mini bar in each room - wrong there is a small fridge which is not stocked. All inclusive.... well only a bit..... we spoke got the Guest relations Manager after we sound our that wine, yes local cheap wine was not part of the all inclusive in the bars, but it was in the restaurant..... I still can't figure that out. GR Manager I think needs to go back to hotel school and learn how to treat people. So no wine in etc bars and even though they give you a bottle in the restaurant... you can't take it to the empty mini bar in the room. Not can you take a beer up to the room. I did but I think they got annoyed. For beach towels you need to pay a 20 euro deposit which hopi do get back.... but I don't think they need to worry about tourists stealing thread bare linen.... Summing up Nice hotels ruined by a draconian policy - whips in not-negotiable re bar drinks and front of house staff are plain rude. Take my advice and go to Cape Verde instead!

Perfect for a family trip or friends trip! Loved the hotel, the aesthetic, food was also really good, drinks at the bar were mid but i still liked them, there was a bunch of activities at the beach and the pool, also there was a karaoke! we really enjoyed. Worth the price. I heard it was renovated ? Still i really enjoyed! Greetings from London:)

What a wonderful place. I came here for a work conference and returned for a few days with my family. Beautiful room and very friendly and attentive staff. Food was delicious. Beach and pool were uncrowded. Can’t wait to come back. .

Wonderful scenery and beautiful atmosphere. The hotel has no complaint at all; the breakfast was delicious and full of variety while the rooms are very clean. The staff are hospitable and cheerful. They only need to provide a bathrobe and slippers for the rooms as is expected of a hotel of their class and status.

Worst experience, unpleasant staff, I tell you: I asked for a Sprite and the waiter's response was you shouldn't have seen it put there like any well-educated person I told him that I didn't know it was reserved and there was a plate reserved no he told me no but it was a table for individual customers x it was a table for 4" immediately the waiter told me he wanted me to change tables even though I had already started my dinner while waiting for my friends, better yet I had my daughter under my arms who was sleeping despite this he insisted on making me change tables even though she was not reserved. The worst when I told him that I I've already started my dinner and I wasn't going to stop it just to change tables because it was going to kill my appetite. He answers me directly, I quote, "the appetite comes with eating Mrs. I didn't understand anything he was so rude. The tones rose and the person in charge of the room came. I was so angry that in the end I lost my appetite even though the manager apologized. What type of staff is that? While in the early morning I wanted to take breakfast to my room because it was a paid service I told them ok no problem I will pay in the end he told me please Mrs. we have a new manager who has introduced new rules and this one in we are not allowed to take food into the BALIVERNES rooms because I saw the packed trays passing in front of me BUT WHAT KIND OF HOTEL IS SHOCKYYYYYY. THE SERVICE IS DONE IN THE CUSTOMER'S HEAD it's sad to see this kind of behavior these days. THE ROOMS: The towels in the rooms are dull as if they were gray in color, I advise you to go with your own. Hot water you will need a lot of patience.. The gels to believe that they do not have enough they make the room and give you no gel I had to ask at reception no replacement of the water bottle even being finished, well, what's more, they renovated pifff I don't know if it was exceptional Power cut, it was the heat that woke me up in the middle of the night and 3 times during the night. And the worst part was the fire alarms. Imagine yourself in deep sleep in the middle of the night the alarm goes off you wake up and see that you are in the dark shiiii Even for a gift voucher I won't go back there. I would not recommend it
