Hotel Ganslhof - Adults Only

We chose this hotel because they had a room that could accommodate 3 adults. One of the cleanest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was good and everyone who worked there was very nice. If you have a rental car, it is ideal because the parking lot is big and there is no parking charge for guests. I would stay here again, but probably not in the middle of summer unless they invest in some a/c units for the rooms. It was September and cool when we were there, but I'm sure it would get pretty hot in the summer.

Nice hotel, 5 minutes from bus stop into city or to the train station. Staff very helpful; breakfast was delicious. Nice patio for drinks before dinner. Amazing Indian restaurant across the street. Grocery store 5 minute walk. Enjoyed our stay here.

It's a great little hotel just out of the main area of Salzburg but the public transport thru to town is amazing, so nothing seemed far. The room was clean and we had plenty of room and nice linens, The bathroom was a good size. There was no lift so we managed to get our gear to the first floor without any issues. The view from the room was lovely - beautiful garden area and looking over to a great monolith in the near distance. No fridge in the room but being winter we put our drinks out on the window sill to chill. I would recommend this hotel and would love to stay again.

Stayed 4 nights recently. Pros: - Barbara is extremely kind, thoughtful, and welcoming at the reception desk. What a lovely ambassador for the city and for this property. Thank you so much Barbara. - The room was very clean and they even remembered to place a fan in my room, which I had requested several weeks earlier. Excellent attention to guests requests. - Loved the location. Very picturesque, sitting right at the base of beautiful Kapuzinerberg. - Strong and consistent wifi. - Awesome rain shower! Cons: - The leather bed frame was heavily dated and damaged. With the rest of the room being so beautiful, this definitely needs to be fixed or replaced. - The bed in general was very uncomfortable. Only a very thin mattress on top of a very soft, quishy bed frame. Every time you move around the mattress slides off the frame. And in the mornings my back was SO sore. If not for the beds, this hotel would have gotten a perfect score. *Did not try breakfast.

My adult son and I spent nights 3 here. The hotel it’s self is set against a backdrop of mountains with a beautiful garden that we overlooked from the second floor. As stay was during a very hot summer spell which we weren’t expecting and the room did not have air conditioning but we had a fan so this is something to consider during the summer months. The host was wonderful and extremely welcoming. It’s a short walk into the centre of Salzburg but there is also a bus stop nearby if preferred and there is a fantastic Indian restaurant across the road. The hotel breakfast was fresh and tasty. This hotel is a gem, especially when the cost of many other hotels in the city is much higher ⭐️
