Overall enjoyed my stay. Pros: very clean; reasonable sized room; mid way between Samara and Carillo. The staff are fantastic. All charming and proactively helpful. Particular praise for Loyda. If the owner has any sense he/she will make her manager immediately. Cons: Bus/ taxi ride or 40 min walk along beach from Samara. Shorter walk to Carillo but along a busy road without pavement. Restaurant expensive with decidedly average food. Breakfast was by some distance the poorest in my 2 weeks in CR. Got the impression the owner is penny pinching eg there appeared to be a limit on the number of eggs you could have at breakfast. This sort of thing can be what guests remember about the hotel rather than the many good points. "Spoil the ship for a ha'p'orth of tar".

The hotel is not so near at Samara so you need taxi to reach out it. The staff of the hotel is wonderful, but management of the hotel is so greedy that you can’t believe. Watch out of this hotel!!! No services around the hotel, water is not drinkable.

Absolutely recommended. The hotel is in a quiet location just outside of Samara. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the beds are super comfortable. The only small criticism (as in pretty much every accommodation we stayed in in Costa Rica) is that there is practically no place to hang up towels, swimwear, etc. The staff was extremely friendly, especially in the restaurant. The breakfast was very good, as was the rest of the food. The outdoor area is beautiful and lovingly designed, and we also liked the pool. We were very happy that we didn't have a hotel in the middle of Samara and felt very comfortable here.

At the end of our Costa Rica trip we (family with 3 kids) stayed 5 days in this fantastic hotel. Very good care by Luis and his colleagues. Very clean with a very nice aesthetic. Rooms are spacious and cool. Also received a lot of tips and advice, highly recommended!

Luis the hotel manager went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. He was kind enough to drive us to a local restaurant when we were unable to get a taxi, and even picked us up at the end of the night. The hotel pool is lovely and the food (mostly Italian) was really superb. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with great pool and grounds. It is out of town so you need a vehicle. The restaurant was ok but is mainly Italian and in my view tries too hard but ends up being limited and the challenge is you have to drive to go anywhere else. Choices for children (Italian but no pizza?) and vegetarians are very limited. Also our room toilets doors were small swing doors like a bar from an American western film which didn’t give any privacy at all which seemed a strange design feature! The lady managing the hotel is amazing, so helpful and has great English

We had a very large and comfortable two storey room; The pool was very relaxing; The staff, especially the manager Luis, were very helpful and friendly; A delicious breakfast; It's a 5 minute drive to downtown Samara; and a very short walk to Carillo beach and another beach whose name I can't recall. Close to everything.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were absolutely amazing!!! We had a personal issue and Hannah went above and beyond to help us. It is a short walk to 2 beaches. We saw the sunrise over Playa Carrillo which was beautiful and saw the sunsets over Playa Samara. I wish we had a car since we had to take taxis to go to dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel
