Malika Classic Hotel

The breakfast is OK, but it's all cold food, which is a challenge for Chinese people's appetite in the cold morning! The courtyard is nice and feels beautiful. The quilt is thin, there are no slippers, and it seems that there is no toothbrush (I can't remember)

A very beautiful hotel. Except when the staff told me on the first day that I had not paid for two nights, it was the price of one night. I don’t know if the staff was unfamiliar with the business or if they deliberately asked for more money because of Uzbekistan. Hotels generally have this problem, always asking me for money that I shouldn't have to pay. The two staff members who opened the reservation paper when checking out were very unfamiliar with the business and wasted a lot of time. Moreover, they did not know how to use the printer and did not speak English at all. The hotel only has one front desk guy on night shift who speaks ok English and is quite proficient in business. But the staff have very good attitudes and the service is very enthusiastic. The three of us were given two rooms when we checked in. At first, they wanted to give us a room each. This is the best hotel I have stayed in in Uzbekistan! The hotel courtyard is very beautiful and very clean!

The room was spacious and clean. There was also a refrigerator, so I was able to cool down the drinks I bought. The breakfast restaurant was buffet style and everything was delicious.

We booked the Marika Elegant Hotel through Ctrip, which is a great value for money hotel. Especially the hotel service, which is great! We don't know foreign languages, so we can only communicate with the hotel owner, Homyong, on the phone, and then he helped us solve any problems in Samarkand. He helped us use the taxi app to call a taxi, make an appointment to watch a performance, and negotiate a long-distance charter. Finally, he sent an employee to take us to the station to bargain with the driver, and negotiated a charter to Bukhara and sent us away. This hotel made us spend a pleasant three days in Samarkand. The hotel hardware is also great, especially the design, which is full of characteristics. Staying in such a hotel is happiness on the journey.
