It was highly recommended to me and it was a big disappointment. The hotel is deteriorated and the facilities, although you can see that they have been painted, look old. I paid for a room with a view of the sea and the pedestrian street (which is the only halfway pretty thing on the island) and it was the WORST mistake. EVERY night in front of the hotel people gather with speakers to listen to loud music, shout and dance until 5:00 am!!!!!. At the reception they told me that it has been happening for some time, they ask the police for help and they do nothing. I personally called the police 3 times and they responded that "there is no restriction on listening to music or dancing on the pedestrian street." Incredible that in a tourist place, where families with children and elderly people go, they allow this outrage and that the hotels do not do something about it. After 2 nights without sleep I asked for a room change and they sent me to a super small, dark room, without a view, uncomfortable, with an old and noisy air conditioning and refrigerator, without a balcony or place to put wet things (you have to leave them outside in a chair)... I couldn't sleep or rest on my vacation. And honestly, I expected the manager or customer service person to apologize for the inconvenience caused. I feel like I paid a lot of money for a service I didn't receive. Fatal. The food was acceptable. The bar offers many cocktails, most of them sweet and with cheap drinks. The only thing I really liked was the Andina beer. I found the dining room and reception staff friendly. I saw a show that was good. The cleaning was average, many sheets were stained and the towels were old. Just like the mattresses and pillows... they are already showing their age... I left San Andres sad, the island is dirty and messy, it looks like no man's land. Traffic with motorcycles and strollers parked anywhere is chaos. It rains and floods in 5 minutes... There is definitely no good tourist development. What a shame because the sea is beautiful and has great potential. I wanted to go to help "move the economy", we all know they are going through difficult times but I will definitely not return.
