I cant write enough to explain how fantastic this hotel is. The staff think of everything ahead of you needing it, they are ALL so professional, willing and just fabulous. I don't think I've had service like that. Nothing was too much, I damaged my leg skiing and they went beyond to help me every day. What a hotel, the restaurants are second to none. We loved relaxing in every area of the hotel, the pianist most evenings was a delight. The wealth of detail in every area incredible...just beautiful. We treated ourselves to the Chefs table in the St Hubertus which as described above was beyond expectation, the flavours, the unusual sustainable, local dishes made our mouths water. Superb. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy this ultimate experience again. Thank you so much to all

We returned to Rosa Alpina because the first visit was so enjoyable. Once again, the service was excellent, the suites were very comfortable, and the St Hubertus restaurant was a culinary spectacle. They provide little cakes and biscuits in the room as well as good branded quality water bottles and rucksacks. The spa is also good. The concierge service will handle all the skiing requirements from equipment hire to booking lessons. The only small criticisms I have are: - they need another transport van during the seasons as we were left waiting for too long, and - the beds have two separate duvets and we prefer one large duvet.

The hotel is located in the centre of town, which is very convenient, but means the views of the mountains beyond townscape. Two of our bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, though one bedroom in single occupancy was small and did not have good soundproofing from adjoining rooms. The bathroom in the corner suite was also small. Beds very comfortable with good pillows and bed linen and all was clean. The main (St Hubertus) restaurant is amazing and speical. The other restaurant in the hotel is good, and there are other good restaurants within walking distance. The walks from here are many and beautiful and the concierge service (under the incredibly helpful Fabio) organise restaurant booking, walks and guides if needed. He also sent some items carelessly left behind by me. The spa is very good - needed after a day’s walking . The Gymn is not open until 8am. THe library is a lovely space, but it adjoins the games room, so is not a quiet place to sit and read. The concierge is also able to book taxis for you, but, something I learned from a previous Trip Adviser review, it is better to use a local company called Taxi Badia, as this is less expensive, efficient and the drivers are very good. They collected us from the airport, took us into Venice and organised a boat taxi to get us to our hotel, and they took us and collected us from different walking locations. Info@taxibadia.it. In summary, can highly recommend the Rosa Alpina and hope that we return soon!

Excellent stay with top notch staff! They coordinated everything from our helicopter transfers in from Munich to our adventures in the Dolomites. The room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable for a quick escape in the mountains. Our only challenge was food and beverage accessibility and offerings.

This is a magical hotel in a magical region of Italy. In the heart of the magnificent Dolomites, we enjoyed the hotel’s comfy rooms, lovely spa, 3 delicious restaurants, amazing concierge support, friendly service, fun bar with nightly wonderful piano player - all on a very humane scale and a welcome change from massive resort hotels. The hiking at our doorstep was fabulous! We spent 5 nights and wished for 5 more!

Although the location is not as spectacular as the other properties (considering Aman's philosophy and founder Adrian Zecha's manner of choosing his sites), it still holds some grandeur amongst the mountains of the Dolomites. What it lacks in spectacular setting, it more than makes up with that undeniable Aman service and interior design. Rooms are modern and sleek featuring the most fascinating fireplace design I've ever seen -- located on a corner, the glass door that follows the corner shape can be lifted up into the wall or swung out. Service was of course impeccable and personalized. Welcome basket was a fruit basket with cookies, chocolates and freebies including water bottle and back pack. I usually love Aman's attention to detail and the small free tchotchkes they hand out are always so helpful or appropriate for the setting and this was no exception -- they gave me a branded leather wire tie for my electronics wires. Rest of the hotel is also designed beautifully in a tasteful modern way while holding on to the rustic feel of a mountain lodge. Only slight negative was the breakfast which was not spectacular but still good. That said, they hold the distinction of having St Hubertus, the 3 star Michelin restaurant and recently featured in the World's 50 Best list. Will review that in a separate review.

When you read a review, the problem is who to trust. Who knows, who doesn't. What do they compare this with. What else have they seen. We have been to 9 or 11 Aman Hotels across the world, Cheval Blanc Hotels, numerous mandarin Oriental and Four seasons, and the list goes on. We are extremely fortunate to have been and seen a lot. You can see my other reviews. This is just to say that, when we say that our stay was outstanding in terms of service, we know what to compare it with. We go skiing once per year only and we love it. We always choose Hotel that has a swimming pool, which is part of the relaxation after intense days of action. We usually go to the Alps, so Italy was a first. We re not sure about the destination. San Cassiano? Never had heard of it. We usually ski in Megeve, Val d'isère, Courchevel, Crans Montana... The village itself is nothing special, small, and cute, very few shops. A five minute drive will take you to La villa a bigger village. Another 5 minutes, and you're in Corvara, even bigger. 45 Minutes if you want to go to Corita but it has not much interest. Finally, we did not move much. There are so many awesome restaurants around those 3 villages that you don't need to go further. So, the Hotel: From day 1 everybody remembers your name. The 3 concierges Roberta, Sandro, and Fabio are all OUTSTANDING! The Breakfast team is perfect! They also remember your name, your morning habits, and always find you with the best available table for your comfort. The ski and shuttle team. You put up your gear in the ski room, and your skis will already be waiting for you in the shuttle. We never had to wait for a shuttle that takes you 5 minutes away to the slopes. At the end of the ski day. There always is 1 or 2 Rosa Alpina Shuttles waiting for you. The food Ok, St Hubertus is a Royal Experience. try to book the table's chef IN the kitchen. It is an over 3 hours experience, and maybe Chakib will show you around the kitchen and arrange you a picture with all the kitchen staff. The wine bar is also delicious. We had dinner there twice. The spare ribs are not to be missed! The Breakfast is a dream. They simply have everything you wish for. Just name it. the Buffet is Huge, generous, and only fresh Ingredients. The room is beautiful, surrounded with large windows and snow... The rooms Not perfect yet. They are in a transition to be fully integrated to the Aman Resorts, so there are a few lacks. No rain shower, no smart TV, bathrooms are not fantastic, but honestly, it is not the most important. The rooms are very clean, very comfortable. No complains there. The facilities. We only went to the adults swimming pool. It is just stunning, and the water is warm. They have various saunas with different steam temperatures, and a Hammam. There is also a reading room with a fire place, a pool (the game) room, and a cinema room. Book the cinema room well in advance for an evening, and enjoy Pizza while watching your favorite movies. From its gabled roofs to its carefully-selected antique decor, Rosa Alpina is the stuff of fairytales. The hotel is located on the main street of San Cassiano putting you within walking distance to the local boutiques, ski shops and bars. But with live music every night, an inviting lobby bar and two fabulous restaurants, you may never want to leave. Rentals are not available in-house, but the shop is just a short walk away and extremely well-organized (Rosa Alpina called ahead so that the staff was expecting us upon arrival). The rooms are charming and intimate with wooden ceilings and floors, and a small living area that feels like the coziest chalet. The shuttle will take you to the slopes, but a quick note for anyone trying the Sellaronda - make sure you start early and ski fast! Or risk getting stuck in another town and finding your way back with a taxi.

We just love this hotel. Third visit and still can't fault anything. Such a relief that despite it being bought by a larger chain, it still feels like the wonderful family run hotel. It isn't flash and people looking for that may be disappointed, but for us it is a class establishment that really understands the true meaning of customer service. Every single member of staff is delightful and really go out of their way to make your stay there absolutely perfect. I still think the breakfast there is the best anywhere. We love the bar in the evening - special thanks to the wonderful barmen. Already thinking about next year's trip.
