3-Star Hotels in San Diego

The hotel is located in the city center, like an old-fashioned standard hotel. The lobby is very beautiful and may be in disrepair. The slight downside is that the rooms are not newly renovated, but the facilities are complete. There are many attractions and restaurants nearby.

I'm surprised to see the mix of reviews, this was one of the nicest Hilton Garden Inns I've ever stayed at! I did not have a car, so maybe the parking is tricky if you do have one, but I felt that the property was very clean and pretty, the front desk staff were super friendly and professional, and they gave the upgraded wifi which made my stay even more enjoyable (free wifi at Hiltons is notoriously spotty and slow, in my opinion). I did not get to try the restaurant because my stay was brief but I appreciated that it was there. I liked the hotel so much that I came to TripAdvisor to review it because my Hilton member survey had already expired. Whoever is running the show there right now is improving it I guess, because I would definitely stay here again!

Great value for a budget traveler. Older motel-style property, but well-maintained with modernized furnishings and bathrooms. Comfortable beds that compare with my more common Marriott stays. I found my room lighting to be a bit disappointing (too dim), no breakfast option, but there are several nearby diners and a Vons supermarket are within 5 mins walking distance. The location is not central to much unless there’s a sports event at the arena, but it’s easy to get places by Uber or a pretty decent mass transit network (if you have the time…. As it could double or triple your travel time) The MTS route 8 bus stops right out front. We went all the way to Torrey Pines Beach for $2.50 each way (bus 8 to Old Town, blue trolley toward UTC, then the 101 to Torrey Pines State Park for a hike with great views!). And, in only about 60-70 mins, and we’re able to fit in a trip to LaJolla cove on the way back.I

As far as location, this was perfect for our Sea World and beach trip. There is a free shuttle to take you to Sea World, which made it convenient. The rooms were nice, but we had ants in the bathroom. If you don’t like hard pillows then I suggest you bring your own. You are charged a daily parking and resort fee, which I wouldn’t have minded had we actually been able to park right in front of our room. Unfortunately when we came, there was a Rolls Royce and Bentley event happening at our hotel where we could not park on our side and had to park our car clear on the opposite side of the hotel, which took 3 trips to bring our bags to the car. No discount on parking for this. It almost felt that they did not value any other guest when it came to this event. We paid the extra money to stay somewhere nicer and overall I felt it wasn’t worth it.

excellent attention from the staff the facilities are very accessible and very clean the bed very comfortable and the pool great, i called to notice them I will be late for my check in and they were very helpful, very clean I love that all the whites sheets and towels we love it

Stayed in the hotel 3 nights, the staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again, the hotel safe. Easy to access a mini store that opens early for snacks, ATM, drinks, and more. Accidentally left an item behind and the staff was extremely accommodating and was willing to ship it to me. Highly recommend the hotel if you are in the San Diego area.

Loved this place. Great location. We were able to walk around the bay. Great room on the 7th floor with a view of the Bay. Watched 3 cruise ships come and go. Super comfy bed, nice water pressure in the shower. Staff were so friendly and breakfast was delicious and abundant. The Sky Bar is a great setting but the food was definitely below standard, especially for the price. My only other comment is how strange that none of the windows are tinted. There's zero privacy. People from the street can clearly see you. But we loved our stay, felt we got great value and strongly recommend it!

The hotel location is close to famous tourist attractions in the downtown area, so it's great! A hotel with a very cute concept haha ​​I think it was a business hotel with a very good value for money. The room size was a bit small, and there was a smell that I couldn't tell if it was a cigarette smell or something, but it wasn't too uncomfortable and I got a good night's sleep (the bed was perfectly comfortable haha) The downside is that there is no refrigerator. They also lend bicycles for free, but I didn't borrow them because I was using public transportation. Accommodation in San Diego is expensive, but I think it was good value for money!

The hotel room is very old. The location and environment are very good. However, after the departure, the authorization deposit was deducted for more than 28 US dollars. It belongs to the city center, but it is incomparable to the domestic city center. There are more office buildings and restaurants. The distance from the aircraft carrier, the old town, the natural park and the ocean park is very close. Close to the road, so tram tracks and motorcycles are louder at night
