Villasanpaolo Resort & Spa

Beautiful place excellent hospitality and cuisine, the room was clean confortable, the spa very pleasent we stay very well, the location of the hotel is strategies around the countryside and close to the most beautiful village therefore worth repeating.

Room was spotless and bed so comfortable, I could oversleep very easily. The staff, was one of the best group of individuals I could have ever asked for, and you don't really need to ask for anything when staying here. Yet, everyone I interacted with, was a pleasure, I wish I could tell every one of them, Grazie for being an amazing person while at work. I wish to return soon.

We had room 212. Just regular double room not superior but very good, excellent bed with memory foam mattress, huge bed. Magnificent view to San Gimignano from balcony. Lots of breakfast variety only scrambled eggs, bacon hard. Great coffee. Wonderful view from dining room. On three of the seven nights the dinner service was dreadful despite the best efforts of the industrious Lorenzo. On Monday June 18 we went in the dining room at 7.30. We did not receive any food, even bread, for over an hour. We weren’t even asked if we wanted wine. We got the attention of the head waiter and he shrugged us off saying ‘Uno momento’ and strolled past with his hands behind his back. Very condescending. On two of the nights large groups were bussed in and service suffered. Spa very nice. We had a couple of treatments which were great. Pool area good with plenty of loungers. Bar staff brought drinks and very helpful. Room service has a €9 charge! So went to bar and brought drinks back. Parked for free at Certaldo and got one hour train to Florence. Tiring as very busy and hot. Recommend open top sightseeing bus. Lots to see so set off early. Free parking too at San Gimignano with a bit of a walk. Flew into Pisa and looked round there which was amazing. Reasonable priced restaurants if you look around and we found a very good one. Came with Jet2 and car hire. Click on car hire on app to find out where you pick up car! We didn’t and rep sent us on a half hour trek in the heat with our cases to the wrong place before a shuttle bus driver told us where to go! Jet2 use the only company not situated at the designated car hire building. Still waiting for our car hire deposit refund six days later even though car was ‘fine’.

Great accommodations, awesome service, excellent food. We stayed for 4 nights and found the VillaSanPaolo very convenient to everything in the Chianti region. The hotel staff was attentive and the views are stunning.

We had a delightful time at the resort and spa! Breakfast was outstanding as well as the lunch and dinner we had as well. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Tuscan scenery and views are breathtaking! Highly recommend a stay here at he Villasanpaolo Resort and Spa!

We spent 5 nights at Villa San Paolo and loved it!. The suite was spacious and had a beautiful view of the Tuscan hillside. It was an easy drive into San Gimignano and other cities to visit. The grounds were well maintained and picturesque. Francisco at the bar was friendly and engaging. One night we split a caprese salad and a pizza in the bar which was delicious.
