The Hotel Schwarzer Adler in St Anton is an outstanding establishment, we can recommend every part of the hotel from the wellness to the bar and rooms but most of all the excellent dining experience, beautiful food and wine and and a very professional team looking after you. Funny story. I thought I had booked here, and in advance of the trip asked them a lot of questions on their message system, which works great. They were incredibly helpful regarding transport from the train station, lift tickets, etc. Then I discovered I had TRIED to book here but they did not have availability. I was at a different hotel. I sent my apologies and told them that if they treat non-guests this way, it must be wonderful to be a guest! Some day I will find out!!

We just came back from a wonderful week at Schwartzer Adler. In the last couple of years we've visited several hotels in the Italian and Austrian Tyrolian alps and the facility and hospitality at Schwartzer Adler is on par in most and better in some aspects. We were a large group of three families with 6 adults and 8 children. The rooms were well laid out and comfortable, although a tad warm (easily resolved by opening a window). The playroom proved a hit with the younger crowd and the caregiver there really handled the kids well and they loved going there every night. Tea time after ski was fantastic, really great to unwind and share the day's adventures, and the food at dinner was superb (breakfast is great, but we're not really breakfast people). There was always something to satisfy every guest. Pools (both indoor and outdoor) were warm (the acoustics in the indoor pool are harsh but I think that cannot be helped really) and offered hours of post ski fun, and the sauna areas (both for families and adults) was fantastic. Staff was super friendly and helpful, when things needed fixing they really responded quickly (we had a sink that didn't drain and before I hung up the phone to ask for housekeeping there was already someone at the door), and there was always someone with relevant expertise to answer any question we had. In summary, the Schwartzer Adler offered such an unforgettable experience for us that when we left the kids begged us to come again. We're looking forward to our next time at the Schwartzer Adler!

Highly recommend. Great rooms (although a tad warm), excellent spa area, excellent staff, food, communal areas, location and very helpful on the front desk. Would definitely return. Also conveniently able to sort lift passes. Really easy to access everything else in St Anton

You always need a certain standard and the Schwarzer Adler meets all those of a alpine hotel. What really makes a difference to us is how the staff takes on their tasks and in particular how they interact with the guests. The staff at Schwarzer Adler are just outstanding. Personal touch without being intrusive and assisting with anything needed without hesitation. Always feels like a home from home!
