This is a nice hotel and a good deal for the price. The hotel was very clean, and the rooms were simple, but nicely appointed. The staff was extraordinarily helpful and many were bi-lingual (German/English) at a minimum. I noticed that the young lady who checked us in saw that the restaurant needed help, so she went to help in the restaurant so that people received good service. The manager even helped out my son, who is looking to move to Germany and go to university there. The breakfast was a typical traditional German breakfast and was very good, with plenty of variety. I highly recommend this hotel. The only negative would be if you have issues with climbing a couple of flights of stairs, you might want to call them to see if they have an elevator. They may have one, but I did not notice it.

We stayed at the Apartment in the Hotel. It’s quite spacious with a large bathroom and a small storage room for the bags. Located on the 2nd floor (there are no lifts), with a high ceiling, we enjoyed our 6 day stay! Amenities in the room included a fridge, microwave, Nespresso and a kettle. Lots of cutlery and crockery too. The Hotel is located at walking distance from Hangelar Mitte railway station, so traveling to Bonn or Sankt Augustin was very easy. Breakfast at the Restaurant downstairs was good, and we liked the good selection of tea! The restaurant also is open in the evening on most week days and we ate there one evening. Service and food were good. Have to mention that cleanliness at the property is of a high standard, room cleaning is done everyday. A few umbrellas were available at the exit which we found useful during the unusually wet summer. We will definitely say here in case we happen to visit the area again!

Wir haben überraschend ein Upgrade bekommen. Das Appartment war wirklich sehr schön und sehr gut ausgestattet. Sehr freundliches Personal. Jederzeit wieder! Eigentlich wollten wir in Köln Porz wohnen, aber wegen einer Messe in Köln war entweder alles belegt oder völlig überteuert. So sind wir auf das Hotel gestoßen und waren super zufrieden.

Nettes und gemütliches Hotel. Das Frühstück ist gut und völlig ausreichend. Abends ist das Restaurant offen, was auch geschickt ist. Die Dachgeschosszimmer sind recht warm, haben aber Klima und Lüfter. Wir kommen im Schnitt 2x jährlich und das immer sehr gerne. Hier werden alle Wünsche die möglich sind erfüllt.

Das Zimmer im Dachgeschoß war sehr warm 28,9°C. Wenn man nachts das Fenster offen lässt, ist die Straße unangenehm laut. Der aufgestellte Ventilator und die auf Nachfrage gebrachte mobile Klimastation halfen nicht viel. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut und abwechslungsreich.

Tolles Hotel mit familiärem Flair, sehr freundliches Personal, sauberes und großzügiges Zimmer, das Frühstücksangebot ist sehr ansprechend, Sonderwünsche werden gerne erfüllt, ein Besuch an der Bar sollte eingeplant werden, immer wieder gerne :-)

Das Hotel Hangelar können wir für einen Kurzaufenthalt zu 100% empfehlen. Die Lage ist verkehrsgünstig und dennoch ruhig. Besonders hervor sticht das freundliche Personal und das super Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind ein Wenig old fashioned aber renoviert und tip, top sauber.
