Hotel Zur Loreley - Garni

This was our 7th stop on our European journey and we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Zur Loreley. The hotel is located in a very quiet pedestrian only zone. We had a rental car and took the hotel's parking recommendations and parked near the harbor which was free of charge. Our room was well managed, Wi-Fi was good, we booked a room with a balcony, all was good. Breakfast was great, plenty of selections, some good restaurants right next to the hotel. The family runs a terrific place here, travelers, we enjoyed our time here.

We spent two enjoyable nights at the Zur Loreley during our recent "Rhine Roam". Stefan was a wonderful host and we will always fondly remember the buffet breakfast (herring in the morning!) and a wonderful dinner on the pedestrian street in front of the hotel...with a view of the castle all lit up. Our room was accessed via a wide, brightly-lit ally that was quiet due to its location. Our room was huge - separate luggage and bath areas. Free train tickets while staying at the hotel is a nice touch. We made an excellent choice among the St. Goar hotels and would like to return one day. John & Pam

We have just had 5 nights at the Zur Lorelei Hotel. It is a small cosy hotel run by a young family. Stefan is the perfect host and the hotel is very comfortable and clean. Our family room was a good size..The breakfast was brilliant (as good as a 5 star hotel) and a highlight of the stay for our daughter! Sankt Goar is a pretty quaint place and the hotel is perfectly situated for train or boat, restaurants or walks. It was quiet at night even during a heatwave. Most importantly for me the room was cool at night as there were windows that opened really wide to let the Rhine night breezes in. Stefan speaks perfect English and can help with anything you need. We had a lovely holiday in spite of some dreadful difficulties with the German trains being unreliable. Thankyou Stefan and family..we will be coming back soon!
