Beds so comfy Staff so friendly Location perfect Plenty of activities locally. Local transport free and easy to use plus always on time. Scenery absolutely stunning and certainly considering a return in the winter to compare even though not skiers

Everything about this hotel is 5*. 5* location - right in the heart of St Johann in Tirol 5* staff - Nathan on the bar and the breakfast staff - everyone is so friendly and helpful. (Great breakfast) 5* upgraded bedrooms are lovely. Exceptionally clean with comfy bed & pillows and plenty of little touches (although a kettle would be nice to make your own coffee, but I know this isn't really a thing in Austria!) 5* boot room which is really toasty for warm ski boots next day. 5* Michi's Bar - great atmosphere with plenty of locals. I've stayed at this hotel many times over the past 10 years and they are constantly upgrading and improving this hotel. It's a shame they don't offer evening dinner any more, but totally understand their reasoning and there's plenty of local places to sample.

Myself, and thirteen other friends, have just enjoyed a fantastic week at Hotel Fischer. From breakfast to bedtime, Michael, Nathan, and the whole team couldn't do enough for us. A BIG thank you from the Avonmouth ski tour. We'll be back soon.

First visit to Hotel Fischer and we were pleased with room, bar and dining. Happy to return in the future. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The free bus and train transport with the guest card are a great bonus. Also free use of the local swimming pool was great considering the hot weather!

Honestly this is the best hotel I have stayed in, better than other 4 star hotels. The customer service is amazing, we have never felt so at home somewhere in only a matter of a week. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you all for making this holiday so special!

My girlfriend and I had a great time at this hotel on our summer hiking trip. The owner, Michael, was super helpful. He helped myself book paragliding and always made time to chat with us. He made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our week. The room was big and clean, which was really nice to come back to after a day of hiking. We loved the breakfast. It had tasty local bacon, sausage, and eggs, and fresh croissants and coffee every morning, kitchen staff were all very helpful. The hotel’s right by the main square with lots of good restaurants that serve up substantial hearty local food at good prices. There’s also a spring water fountain right outside with the best tasting cold water. It’s a great spot for hiking since it’s close to the Kitzbüheler Horn ski lift and the Kaiser mountain range. We could also use buses and trains for free up to Wörgl with the Digital GästeCard, we enjoyed visiting kitzbühel and free transport for this was handy. Swimming was free too, and we got lucky with the weather. Plus, there’s a cheap launderette just a stone’s throw away. And I have to mention Nathan, the Welsh bartender. He was so welcoming and kept a very positive welcoming environment at the hotel bar. We’re already thinking about coming back for a ski holiday in the winter.
