Hotel Delle Palme

This is a classic Italian hotel. It is located in a small town but close to the Amalfi Coast and other tourist spots in the area. All the rooms have not been renovated and the old furniture is quite bad. The hotel has a pool, but we couldn't use it because it was closed. The bathroom is nicely renovated and the bed is very good for sleeping. We had a few days with food that was not bad but the staff tried to please us.

We found this hotel last minute due to an alternative booking not fulfilling our expectations and the staff were excellent at accomodating us both in a refurbished double room with a garden view. The room itself is spacious as is the bathroom which has a hairdryer and toiletries provided daily. The hotel is very clean and the staff attentive, the pool area is immaculate and has a small bar with helpfull staff. Showers, toilets and changing room are behind the pool bar. The hotel is around 25 minutes by bus to Sorrento and the stops are around 100m outside the hotel gate. Tickets to the centre (1.5e) can be bought from the fruit shop opposite the gate. Food in the bar is very good and there is plenty of choice for breakfast, I have lactose free milk and the staff brought it fresh every day. Overall a fantsatic hotel in a great location.

The Delle Palme , is a dated hotel , the decor is aged and tired looking , our room was on the front top floor, the fire doors are wedged open , the room doors don't fit properly , gaps right round allowing light to come through , lighting up room through night , would never stop smoke , in the event of a fire, only one way out , in event of fire , that was down the main stairs over loaded electric points , electric points in bathroom , air conditioning was switching off, tripping out ,,,pillows very hard room overlooking the road , very busy and very noisy , didntbget a full nights sleep the whole week we were there , a large group came in last two nights we were there , in restaurant, we were made to feel we were a inconvenience, tables layer out nicely for them , ours were just basic , food had to be ordered night before , but the choices were poor , and not very well cooked , small spoon of potatoes , small spoon of vegetables, frozen vegetables , food not at all up to standard or presented nicely , pretty poor , for a country that prides itself on its cooking , didnt like much coming back to the hotel after the day trip,,sadly it put a downer on the whole holiday ,,,great day trips , poor hotel, with poor food, would I revisit this hotel again or recremmend it ??? Sadly not !!!

Beautiful traditional Italian hotel with helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are fairly basic but have everything you need. Lovely pool area serving snacks and drinks. Bus stops right outside the hotel for getting into Sorrento.

I stayed here as part of a weeks tour with Newmarket. My experience was not good. My room very small, old fashioned, in need of refurbishment especially the bathroom. No bath just shower with small basin to stand in. Because the shower head, support and tube were slightly broken it generally tended to flood the bathroom floor. Hence making it a bit dangerous especially if an elderly / frail person was staying in there. Balcony too small and room very noisy as at front of hotel, so couldn’t sit out on balcony. Food was awful could of cooked better my self no variety, choice, breakfast and evening dinner. Some other people who were part of the tour had ants in their room running down the wall and floor. Couple of staff were alright but others not very friendly felt some were looking down on you. This should not be a four star hotel I wouldn’t even give it three. So a real negative to the holiday

We stayed for 5 nights as a family in two deluxe rooms. We arrived at 11am to a warm welcome and straight yo our rooms which were on the ground floor and very modern. Comfy beds, enough storage and a new bathroom each with rain shower. The pool and gardens are lovely and relaxing with plenty of sunbeds and shade. The one negative was that on the friday lots of non-residents came and were very noisy, boisterous and inconsiderate. I did talk to the pool barman but he let them carry on. Breakfast was fine. We had lunch by the pool a few days and that was good value. The village is great lots of restaurants, a few shops and a bus to Sorrento that takes 20-40mins. Best of all are the hotel staff who were so ftiendly and made our stay perfect. We would gladly stay again.
