I stayed for 6 nights in the Apartment for 6 nights in July 2013 for 216 euros – around £32 a night. First it has a very good location – a 5 minute walk from the shops, front and night life. San Antonio is full of a maze of back streets so get a free map. It is also about 7 minutes walk away from the bus station. By the way, you can get from the airport to S.Ant for 4 euros on a number 9 bus – they run every hour on the hour. The apartment is very spacious and more than adequate. You have to get the keys from the hardware shop next door. I think they only do rooms with separate single beds i.e. twin rooms. The apartment has a small modern TV (no English channels – not even CNN), a kitchen area, bathroom (small bath with overhead well functioning shower). There is a balcony and a good room safe. Utensils are provided including a cloth, tea towel, cups bowels and plates plus a wine opener. There are NO toiletries of any sort – no soap, shower gel, washing up liquid. Use the microwave to heat water for a cuppa. There is no oven. Also there is a small supermarket opposite for your basic needs. Although comfortable, clean and functional, the apartment is in part, dated. The pink bathroom suite and even the very old fashioned cutlery looks well used. It can be a bit noisy outside in the early hours. The air con was very good and efficient. I found the staff helpful and given the cost it was good value for money provided you do not expect top notch modern looking facilities or a TV (unless you speak Spanish). So overall good to very good … could never be described as excellent. Given the price lets give it a respectable 6.5 out of 10.
