My fiancé and I stayed for 1 week with our 3 month old daughter in a Hammam Suite. We had a lovely relaxing break, but noticed some need for improvement to warrant the price. Staff: Fantastic, cannot fault any of them but special shout out to Carlos who worked at the pool, bar and restaurant, he was brilliant, friendly and seemed to never stop working - I think the hotel definitely could do to employ a few more staff. View/Location : Outstanding, hands down one of the best balcony views we’ve experienced and we have stayed all over the world. The hotel is located in a very secluded quiet area, so if you’ve come for peace and quiet this is definitely the place. The only downside of this is accessibility - we fully appreciate this is a cliff side resort, however getting a child’s buggy around the hotel, or if you had a wheelchair, or were elderly (for example), is very difficult, the design of stairs and the pool area make it quite dangerous in some places. You absolutely need to rent a car if you plan on going anywhere. Food/Restaurants: We rate the food here highly, although we only ate in the restaurant one night. Breakfast is lovely. The lunch time menu was delicious - probably the best club sandwich we’ve ever eaten so ordered it every day! The croquettes were also fantastic. Nice cocktails however the price is extortionate - 19 euros for a cocktail and 12.50 for a pint of beer is overpriced anywhere in the world. 7.50 for a bottle of water. We chose to eat out at Salvia, La Luna N’ell Orto, and Rebrots, all of them were excellent but I would recommend anyone to eat at Salvia, one of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time. Amenities: Can’t comment on the spa as we couldn’t really use it with a new baby, however the pools were great, again the design made things a bit difficult but otherwise no complaints. The gym is functional but small - no music and water is rarely replaced in there so I would recommend the staff take note on that one. Pool table, games room, indoor pool, all really good. There are a few activities such as a hike & cocktail making classes that the hotel put on, but they are all chargeable. We think this is a mistake from the hotel to charge for these and should just be available for guests. Room: We found our Hammam Suite room to be lovely and light, excellent view, good AC, most of the amenities you would need. It does definitely need some updating, (as does most of the hotel), but it was pleasant. There is no full length mirror, no decent sized cups, we had no hot water in the bath for a few days. It’s worth noting the hotel was more than happy to fix/organise things we needed in the room and did it quickly. Overall this hotel has a lot of positives, it’s a beautiful cliffside oasis with an incredible view and fantastic staff, it is, however, far too expensive and requires a decent amount of updating/investment from the owners to be worth what it costs.
