Hotel Villa Anita

The location, hotel and room (junior suite) appointments were excellent. Pool was small but perfectly fine for a cooling dip. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Great boutique hotel in a nice quiet neighborhood in Santa Margherita with an easy 5-10 minute walk to the beach and center of town. Nice amenities and a great breakfast with a ton of choice for a smaller hotel. Family owned with great service. We stayed on the top floor and, while the room was smaller (like every hotel room I have stayed at in Italy), it was well appointed and there was an awesome outdoor deck with sunshade, a table and chairs, chaise lounges and a large outdoor tub. We love Santa Margherita. It has great ambiance, restaurants, and is good base to visit Cinque Terre, Portofino and other seaside towns of the Ligurian coast.

It was high season. We were pressed to take a room above our usual price limit. A bit skeptical we were and yet as we look back on those days, we can agree with many others who have written. It was a very special hotel, offering beauty, hospitality, comfort, convenience. There was care and attention to everything. The breakfasts had a pace and offering that made the experience into a sort of morning meal, taking time out on the balcony, enjoying the gardens below, the clean air, while trying dish after dish and conversing. It was five minutes from the sea. The pool was small but full of health dedicated features. The guests were discrete, and the staff delightful. We plan to return. It was a peaceful place and a real vacation.

This family owned and run hotel were welcoming, friendly and professional throughout our stay. We waited 30 minutes for our room but were served a glass of Prosecco and given a chat and recommendations with a map about the town and area. Our room was well appointed with everything one could need. Nice quality bathroom products and everything worked as it should. There is a small pool and gym but we walked and swam in the sea instead. Just a tip. We walked to Portofino and back using the road out and a path back. Very easy and ended with a swim but be careful as some of the lidos charge a fortune particularly if attached to one of the big hotels.

We were there for 11 nights as a Home Base to visit the area..the room I booked was the Comfort w/ Balcony...it was definitely too small for 2 people for 11 nights...Sandro, the terrific owner, proposed an upgrade to the superior w/ terrace...just a lot more spacious feel and better layout...the cost of the upgrage was fair...Sandro and all the staff were so helpful and very nice and friendly... The breakfast was excellent and fresh and the women who worked there were so nice.. The cute little pool was a big plus if it was not a beach day...perfect to take refreshing dips after lying in the comfortable chairs sipping your vino...we went to the Beach 6 days and the pool was great on non beach days... An observation is that one of the staff can check by the pool on ocassion to see if anyone needed a drink...be good for the guests and the Hotel would sell more drinks.. Just have a bit more of pool service with drinks and snacks to increase revenue.. The hotel is located in a very quiet part of Santa M..it is up a moderate hill from Caffe del Porto..walking uphill via the path is fine if you are in decent shape and want to burn off some calories..But - if you have difficulty walking or climbing stairs this may be an issue..also no elevator in Hotel...so that's another consideration for people who are not too mobile...you can taxi to the hotel for 20 Euro/ 25 Euro after 9PM... Overall a terrific Hotel with classic Old School Traditional vibe...

What a wonderful bed and breakfast hotel! Manager and staff were incredibly helpful…thank you for helping us plan our day trips to Cinque Terre and Como di Nord! Breakfast was excellent, rooms amazing, service was 10/10. Wish we had stayed longer!!!
