I had the pleasure of staying the Valverde Santar hotel & Spa for the weekend. As a travel agent I visit many hotels and this hotel is absolutely wonderful. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. The property has been lovingly and tastefully restored and the service is impeccable. All the staff is always there to assist and make you feel like being part of a family. This includes all parts of the hotel....the reception, house keeping, breakfast room attendants, the restaurant and the spa. All rooms are beautifully appointed and the entire property exudes a feeling of luxury, a peaceful haven to relax and rejuvenate. The Valverde Santar Hotel & Spa are a real gem, off the beaten path in Portugal with no shortage of experiences to enjoy during your stay, including visiting wineries, historic villages and towns. I highly recommend this hotel and will be happy to book for my own clients. A big thank you to Marcy and the entire staff. Mutio Obrigado!

From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, offering warm hospitality and impeccable service. The room was beautifully designed and equipped with every amenity I could need. The nighttime snack was a great detail. The hotel's facilities were top-notch, from the relaxing spa to the well-maintained pool area. Every detail was carefully thought out to provide guests with the ultimate comfort and luxury.

The Hotel is tucked away in a remote corner of Portugal and it was enjoyable to drive and to find the place. Very nice and elegant facilities, friendly staff, and interesting interiors and ambience. So quiet and refreshing, enjoyed strolling through the village, swimming, spending quiet hours reading. Recommend this place to everyone wishing for a quiet and elegant place to rest. historical building makes it even more wonderful.

What a wonderful boutique hotel this is! The rooms were very comfortable with a bath and shower in my room (room 12). lovely bed and perfect temperature. The food was the some of the best I have tasted and worthy of a Michelin star which may not be far off! The overall service was fantastic and the outdoor heated swimming pool was one of the best I have ever swum in! 10/10

This was top notch! Amazing property, customer service, spa, dining, linens and robes, everything exceeded our expectations! We went to tour Santar, see the gardens and taste the wines at Santar Vila Jardim, which was lovely. Little did we know we would get the added treat of Valverde Santar Hotel & Spa. Outstanding place to visit!

Hotel muito tranquilo, ideal para descansar. Quartos espaçosos e confortáveis, restaurante de excelente qualidade e espaços exteriores muito agradáveis. As áreas comuns, como salas de estar e leitura, estão bem decoradas e são bastante acolhedoras. Pequeno-almoço na varanda exterior é um ponto alto da experiência.

Eu e minha esposa tivemos uma experiência incrível no hotel Valverde Santar , aqui os detalhes são levados muito a sério, o que torna a experiência única,digno de um lindo hotel do século XVll . Abordando um pouco sobre os colaboradores, em especial o Mateo que nos recepcionou de forma incrível e nos fez entrar dentro da rica história do hotel , parabéns a esse jovem incrivelmente apaixonado pelo que faz . A colaboradora Raquel sempre gentil e prestativa . E por último a colaboradora Mafalda , uma pessoa super inteligente , prestativa e apaixonada pela história do hotel e também sobre a cultura portuguesa , sabe muito sobre vinhos e pratos típicos da região , ela não só atende com excelência mais tem o dom para isso , 90% da nossa experiência no hotel Santar passa pelas mãos dessa senhora magnífica que elevou a nossa estadia ao extremo da satisfação , obrigado MAFALDA.
