Empezando con lo bueno:
-Ubicación excelente en el barrio Lastarria, al lado del cerro Santa Lucía y prácticamente a la vuelta de una zona llena de restaurantes. También esta cerca de la Plaza de Armas y de muchos monumentos/edificios históricos. Tiene estaciones de metro cerca, por lo que resulta sencillo trasladarse a otras partes de la ciudad.
-Personal amable
-Habitación amplia con vista al cerro (Piso 6to). Buena presión de ducha.
-Precio muy razonable para lo que ofrece.
-Incluye desayuno. (Aunque no muy variado)
-El aire acondicionado funcionaba correctamente.
Como crítica, se podría decir que los muebles son algo antiguos, no tiene heladera y lo más molesto, que el wifi no funcionaba bien, la señal se cortaba todo el tiempo, por lo que resultaba muy difícil conectarse.
De cualquier forma, en relación costo/beneficio, es un hotel recomendable, aunque deberían solucionar el problema de la mala conexión de internet.

There are two main advantages of the hotel. Location and price. Perfect for visitors to Santiago. We were very pleased with this, but it was not enough for a very good rating. I'm not one to complain, but I need an honest opinion so that travelers won't be disappointed. Generally, it wasn't very bad, but: the service in the hotel was not different from average; visa and mastercard debit cards were not supported (I had to use more expensive credit cards); very poor quality wi-fi; outdated rooms; and the worst thing, especially with jetleg, the rooms are located overlooking a busy street and are simply noisy. If that doesn't bother you, I recommend this hotel because the location is just great.

The location of the hotel is great if you want to be in an area with bars, that is close enough to the historical sites and subway. They provide breakfast (nothing exceptional but it is ok) and they provide storage for free. Some of the personnel was great and some was so and so. The building of this hotel is a bit old and some of the furniture is suboptimal.

Positives: For the price you pay this hotel is in a fantastic location! It is in the heart of the city with an abundance of restaurants/ shopping nearby. The rooms are outdated, but spacious and perfectly comfortable. Decent breakfast including eggs, bread and cheese. Negatives: The reason I have given 3 stars and the reason I would probably not stay here again is the barely non-existent WIFI!! It is much better in the lobby, but in the rooms you can’t even check emails.

If there were 10 stars, I would. Spectacular hotel. Starting with the reception and all the people who work there. They give tips on nearby restaurants, tours, wines. And the location? The coolest street in Lastarria with bars and restaurants is behind the restaurant. The subway on the other street. The bathroom was super clean and the room clean and comfortable. We stayed in a room with 2 single beds and the staff put the beds together without any problem. The daily rate is around 250 reais and it's SUPER worth it.

Qdo cheguei tive uma sensação ruim,parece um hotel barato,antigo.Fomos bem atendidos ,o hall de entrada dos quartos é assustador,parecia uma vila Hobbit,portas pequenas ,baixas e uma do lado da outra!A surpresa foi o quarto totalmente reformado,moderno,amplo (ficamos no superior),colchão,roupa de cama,toalhas tudo de primeira qualidade.O problema do café da manhã (sem café no primeiro dia) está no bolo doce,horrivel!A localização é incomparável,c muitos cafés c doces,bares e restaurantes na mesma quadra.E dá p ir a pé p o centro histórico e Bella Vista.Como fiquei no 1 andar não usei o elevador.

La zona es práctica y el desayuno estuvo bien. Para una estadía corta está bien pero el hotel evidentemente no ha sido renovado hace muchísimo tiempo. Es como viajar al pasado, los muebles, las paredes y acabados necesitan atención y una muy buena limpieza. La habitación es muy oscura, abrí las cortinas pero me topé con unas ventanas muy sucias. Creo que alguien alérgico la pasaría bastante mal. El hotel tiene potencial pero necesita mantenimiento.

Das Hotel Montecarlo hat eine gute Lage, direkt neben dem Barrio Lastarria. Das Hotel selbst ist in die Jahre gekommen. Das Einzelzimmer ist sehr klein. Im Badezimmer kann man sich kaum auf die Toilette setzen - mangels Platz. Die Zimmer sind sauber. Wlan funktioniert - allerdings muss man sich regelmässig neu einloggen. Das Montecarlo wird definitiv NICHT meine Wahl für Santiago.
