"Due to issues with the visa documents and AA's poor service, I lost 2 nights of accommodation in Santo Domingo, a one-way AA ticket from LA to Santo Domingo, and an additional 3 nights of accommodation in LA plus additional fees. The total cost of purchasing a one-way ticket from LA to JFK and then transferring to Santo Domingo cost me almost US$1,000. What a shame! Basically, the accommodation was okay, but it happened that the hotel was renovating underground water pipes and it was very noisy during the day. Especially for my 2 nights on the 15th, it was very painful because I couldn't adjust the jet lag right away! This trip to Santo Domingo seemed to be very unsatisfactory at the beginning. It was a waste of money, not to mention that there was no one to help! Fortunately, I can speak English and finally got the documents sorted out and entered Santo Domingo 2 days late! I’m sorry that I keep talking about the unfortunate experience of this personal trip to provide travelers with reference, otherwise a beautiful trip will turn into many problems and leave bad memories. Travel nightmare. Thank you all!"
"This hotel was specially booked. The hotel has a long history and a good location. The deluxe bed booked this time, the front desk service is very warm, and the scenery outside the window is the most attractive to us. It is beautiful. The hotel's service is a plus, the pool is also a plus, the front desk and lobby concierge service is particularly good, it is a special trip. Satisfied"
"Неожиданно приятно было, что в отеле русский хозяин! Очень гостеприимный и доброжелательный. Отель чистый, всё новое, не так давно открыт. Есть всё необходимое, дали воду сколько было нужно (питьевую). Была горячая вода, с чем в других местах в Доминикане возникали проблемы.. за свою цену отель просто супер, советуем. Завтрака особого нет, правда, но неподалеку есть разные кафе. Парковка тоже была у отеля."
"The overall facilities of the bathroom are not good, the shower part cannot be adjusted to the water below for foot washing, and the water from the washbasin is hot water on the second night, and it cannot be washed. It will be repaired at about 12 o'clock in the evening; breakfast is OK, fruit and bread meet basic needs."
"Very nice apartment hotel in very good area, the social area of the pool is very spectacular"

Great
AAFLBrand new hotel with modern, confortable rooms and stylish decoration throughout. Lovely pool and rooftop area. Nice service. Free parking. Good breakfast. Excellent value. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay her again if back in Santo Domingo!
徐徐The hotel is a monastery remodeled, very retro and beautifully visual. The rooms are small, but the public areas are great, whether it's the living room, the dining room or the terrace on the top floor. Breakfast is simple but nutritious. The girl at the front desk was very good at English, warm and thoughtful, and all the questions of the visitors who came over for the first time were answered patiently. Great location, next door is the oldest woman monastery, a great place to take pictures of the sunset. The ancient city is not big. It takes only 5-10 minutes to walk to any famous attraction from the hotel. It is also very close to the only Chinatown in many countries. You can find delicious Chinese food in 15 minutes before going straight. It is so convenient! It’s okay to hit Uber at the door of the hotel to go further. The taxi is also parked at the door of the hotel at any time, and the small square diagonally opposite is very quiet. It is a worthwhile hotel.
LLuz Stella Suarez AlfonsoExcellent location, close to tourist sites, safe. Absolute comfort in the room, very clean. The attention and quality of guest service was unbeatable, especially from José Luis Montero, who helped us from the first minute. The stay was very pleasant.
GGuest UserI had stayed here before the pandemic about 3 times. The property is very clean, it is located in the older ”colonial” part of the city. Traffic in this area is a nightmare due to the narrow streets. SAFE area, police presence all over.
The GOOD: Clean, Safe, Staff Friendly, plenty of places nearby to eat. Breakfast supplied is ample and of decent quality, food for linch or dinner in the hotel restaurant is good though limited menu, space for seating is very limited inside the restaurant, water pressure in the shower is excellent the room safe is large. The BAD: Room Small like an IBIS, Bathroom smaller than an IBIS, A/C in my room was ”marginal” at best and previous stays here noticed this, Elevator very slow, the worst part this is not a business hotel. While the Internet provided is decent, there is NO work space available at all in the rooms. NO electrical outlets available all are hidden behind furniture or the bed and no desk type area. Had to charge my phone in the bathroom outlet and use computer on battery. Also had a room phone and minor toilet issue which I reported twice and nothing was done. DO NOT have the hotel arrange for the hotel taxi to drive you to the airport cost is $50.oo ! Make your own arrangements or get an UBER. CONCLUSION: While on vacation for a couple of days this is a Nice place to stay and see the colonial sights and enjoy the atmosphere. However, ”on business” this is not the place to stay. I will be returning on business for a longer stay in late January or early February, unfortunately I will have to stay elsewhere.
KkaryisamermaidThe hotel is now called casa colonial, it is extremely well located! Nearby the conde street and beautiful alleys, there is a big church across the street and a cozy cafe. The hosts were very nice, they make your breakfast and customize it according to your preferences, they serve nice coffee with it or juice as well. The hotel inside is an old colonial house, it has rooftop areas, green areas and a pool, each part of it looks very romantic. The rooms are nice, some are small and others are bigger but you feel you’re in another time zone. Will definitely go back!
GGuest UserThe location is a bit complicated because there is a lot of traffic, the hotel was fine, the room was fine but the gym was in very bad condition, it seemed that it was not working, everything was messy and the machines were very old and did not work well.
花花花ritaThe front desk environment is very dark, next to the casino. The rooms are large, but the network is particularly poor. Some rooms have no internet at all. You need to go out to use the internet. Some rooms have large mirrors facing the bed, making people very uncomfortable.
IIndo_backpackerzPro: -safe area even at night, because just beside the militery area of the presidential palace, even at 10pm there is still a grocery open.
- Breakfast is simple but good enough: toast with cheese and ham, coffee and a boiled egg.
-Spacious and clean room, friendly staff, can refill drinking water.
-500m walking to the gate of the colonial area.
- Taxi stand is at the same street
- Nice, spacious outdoor, sitting area
- A personal fridge in the room
Cons:
-A bit noisy from the road/a bar until around midnight.
- Shower is not really hot (only slightly warm).
The average price for hotels in Santo Domingo is AED 360 on weekdays, and AED 365 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
