Marriott Hotels in Santo Domingo

I get my reservation though the sales department. The person I deal with is very courteous, 1. I agree with couple of bad reviews here,,,,, Key issues, room outdated and moist smell on rooms and hallways, ( they are trying to fix the issues with dehumidifiers throughout the floor's hallway.... 2. front desk : they have inexperience front desk agents..... ( looks like no customer service skills training is happening at this location.... 3. to give the benefit of the doubt, this location has what is called club members that are not guest of the hotel, but they use the facility's gym, pool, sauna, and amenities from the hotel. so I think this ism the reason why the front desk and some of their staff lacks of just serv. skills. mix of people ...... and locals that visit or are member of the club are the med high class of the country and treat staff like if they are slaves..... so part of the problem lays in that, they try..... talking about the front desk staff....... 4. other staffs, they think they know everything..... one thing that bothers the most is when someone is trying to cover a fault with an excuse that doesn't even make sense.... please don't BS a Bs'r. 5. Rooms: other than having a moist smell, they lack of insulation ( sound proofing) you can hear everything that is going on on the other room, and when I say everything, is EVERYTHING..... my 11 years old asked me if they were killing someone on the other room..... 6. ammeneeties and restaurant staff, very courteous, and pleasant tried to accommodate me as much as they could possible can...... 7. Staff at 8th floor. they have a cigar lounge up there and more of a pleasant view away from most locals that visit the facility...... 8. if you want to have a nice sleep try executive rooms. everything is different.... by the way THIS IS A VERY CHEAP ($$$$$$ WISE) HOTEL.

What a wonderful Hotel & Resort! Not only does this place provide some incredible amenities and a fabulous Japanese Restaurant but it’s the service that truly delivers the experience. Huge shout out to Olga and Rafaela from the restaurants and the staff throughout the entire Resort for all being so kind and gracious. -R&R

I always love staying at El embajador for the staff. They feel like family, and they all treat you with love and respect. Lucy, the chef on the 7th floor deserves a Michelin star. Years apart from visits she is able to prepare the same delectable dish with the exact unwavering quality of a 5-star establishment. Marty and Yonatan are incredible servers, they will always try to accommodate you with the same love and warmth of family. Carlos Rodriguez the bellhop on the first floor is also great. He is always super friendly and genuine, this is the best staff ever. You will feel like you are staying at your new home.

This hotel was specially booked. The hotel has a long history and a good location. The deluxe bed booked this time, the front desk service is very warm, and the scenery outside the window is the most attractive to us. It is beautiful. The hotel's service is a plus, the pool is also a plus, the front desk and lobby concierge service is particularly good, it is a special trip. Satisfied

Having a long stay at my favourite Hotel in Santo Domingo. Impecable throughout!!!! Beautiful penthouse with jacuzzi!!!! Extremely comfortable bed and pillows, sleep like a princess. Amazing. I just love it here!!!! Wonderful room service and staff always willing to help!!! Special thanks to Jordi, this guy is everywhere!!!!! I had a wonderful stay, the concierge, Fanyelis and housekeeper Olga did an excellent job of helping my sisters surprise me! I truly appreciated it! Alexis was also great in helping us cross the busy street and even giving walking directions to local places. The pool area was wonderful not huge but great for the space and a lot of seating available.

Overall it's OK, the room is low, close to the beach, the sea view room is very beautiful, and the transportation is convenient. The breakfast variety is quite rich, and there is also a big **PORK in the hotel

María in housekeeping was extremely attentive and helpful. I love this hotel. It always feels like home! From reception, rooom service, poolside, and beyond. This is where you go when you want to feel like home without any distractions. I highly recommend it!

The new hotel hardware facilities are very good in the Dormy. The front desk and other service staff are very friendly. The hotel is relatively new. The room is still somewhat decorated.
