We had a wonderful stay here! The breakfast was delicious and the service was impeccable. The driver was able to take us where we wanted to go, the snack/bar man was friendly and the woman at th front desk went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. We had an amazing time at the pool and it's only 10 minutes or less from the picturesque Oia view. The room had adorable details, down to a welcome basket with a tote bag and bottle of wine. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

A little bit of heaven just outside of Oia....Violet and Yannis were the best hosts....everything was perfect from the time we arrived to when we left...nothing was too much trouble for Violet. Yannis brought us to wherever we needed to go , our own personal Taxi with the best 80's music...the lady at breakfast was very kind and accomodating, as was the barman...the bungalows had everything you needed..Violet thought of everything...seeing as our flight was late at night, Violet let us have one of the bungalows to change for our journey home....the perfect spot for the sunset and a little bit of yoga...highly recommend this place,so quiet, peaceful and relaxing...thanks again to you both 🥰🥰

The facility is very modern very clean and very spacious. It’s in a quiet part of the island about five minutes away from the craziness. The hosts are wonderful and it has everything you need. There is a wonderful quiet pool. A pool attendant. A Jacuzzi. Even a mini market. All this for nine bungalows. It’s very private and has a private area so you can see the sunset. But the hosts (Violet)) make it even better.

10 out of 10 in my book. Violite and Yani were a class act! Highly recommended. I was picked up at the airport by Yanis, got to listen to some awesome 80 songs along the way while admiring the scenery! Once you arrive at the location you are greeted by Violite's warm smile, the premises and bungalow were spotless. Violate is very helpful and informative. Plenty to choose from for breakfast. If you don't mind taking the local bus cost 1.60 euros, or you could rent a car or an ATV to get around, there is free parking, the town of Oia is a little bit away, I do not recommend waking since there are no sidewalks and the roads are narrow. I am so glad I stayed here, away from the crowds, it was just what I needed both for my wallet and peace of mind. Thank You! Julia from CT :)

Just spent a lovely relaxing week in Santorini. Violet and her husband are lovely hosts, they looked after us really well with lots of little kind touches, and we felt super relaxed. The accommodation was lovely, with our apartment having its own kitchenette, breakfast was good with a wide selection, and the location was perfect for us as we wanted a quiet peaceful place and that’s exactly what we found. Thank you for a lovely break Violet and team!

We were so very fortunate to find and book this place!!! It was so good to be there, to enjoy the treats offered by our hosts, Violet and Giannis, lovely and very clean bungalows, excellent pool, and the Baxedes beach is literally 4 minutes away! And we had all the beach to ourselves, just imagine! The hosts will help you with everything - transfers anywhere on the island, getting you water or beverage supplies, offer very valuable guidance on best spots to see, best island tours - you name it, they will help! And this is the real value we appreciayed and befriended!!! Mare Nostrum location is perfect - far from the madding crowd of Oia, but only 2 km away from it - 10 mins drive. So, go for Mare Nostrum, you will not regret it ever.

Arrived at the hotel after a long hot day dodging Instagrammers in Oia; the owner had seen us coming and had two glasses of very cold, freshly squeezed orange juice for us. 10/10 customer service. Very warm welcome, very dog-friendly. 'Rooms' are actually separate apartments, cosy, and traditionally furnished. Had a little problem with our bathroom lights and it was fixed within five minutes. Some reviews saying the rooms are small, but a) they're exceptionally good value, b) they're two levels, and c) smaller rooms cool down faster with the air conditioning. Definitely worth travelling a couple of kilometres from Oia to avoid the tourist prices. It's also just across the road from the beach
