Aegean Gem

This hotel was brilliant, honestly our stay was faultless - the room, the pool area, breakfast. There were so many little touches and so much attention to detail. We stayed in the Grace Suite, having a hot tub was such a fun treat. We loved it! The location is perfect - far quieter than Oia but there’s plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby. The hospitality of everyone running the bars and restaurants was incredible. Finally the true standouts of this hotel were Nikolas and Maria. They were so friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in to when the transfer came to pick us up. Nikolas even waved us off! We had a fantastic stay and cannot thank them enough.

Fantastic hotel just 5 mins walk from the centre and the beach . We stayed in the gem suite and the room was very clean and spacious and included a hot tub . Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice every morning. Run by Nikolas and Maria we were made to feel very welcome and would definitely recommend and return. Thank you for your hospitality

My husband and I stayed here for our babymoon from 16th June for 5 nights. The hotel is a really short walk to Kamari beach where there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants. When we arrived Nikolaos gave us a very warm welcome and we were greeted with a drink each. The hotel is really modern, clean and definitely has a boutique feel. It is decorated very stylishly and simply. Everything about the hotel is great quality, the furniture, decoration, even down to the doors on the rooms, you can tell the family have really invested in the hotel and it has paid off. We stayed in a “charm” room which was more than enough for us, very spacious with a double and single bed, double sinks, a large shower with all the toiletries you would need. We had a balcony with a Mountain View, which had a table, chairs, and two lounger chairs. The aircon in the rooms is also great. Cleaners did a great job and all toiletries were restocked and towels replaced every day. The breakfast is plentiful and was enough to choose from for us every day. The pool area is small but it is no more than what you would expect from a boutique hotel. We never had any issues getting a sun lounger each morning. The hotel also provide towels for the loungers. Everyone we came across working in the hotel was friendly and couldn’t do enough for us especially Nikolaos. When we left we were able to use some showers which we were grateful for as we had checked out at 11am our flight was at 6pm. When we went down the stairs in reception to use the showers, there was a large air conditioned room with showers, toilets, a table and chairs and lots of toys and games for children / families to use. Nikolaos organised a taxi for us and wished us both well, we were genuinely really saddened to leave. We loved our stay at this hotel and experienced service this genuine for a long time. You can really tell the family are grateful to their guests for choosing their hotel. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again and plan to come back in the future. Thank Nikolaos & Family! X

My experience here was very nice and peaceful. The staff are kind and Nickolas offers his help whenever you need it. The hotel itself is very pretty and clean but the area around it could use some cleaning up by the island. There is a nice little supermarket not too far away and it’s walking distance to Kamari Beach which is a definite bonus.

My mom (74) and I (43) enjoyed this hotel so much we extended our stay in Santorini by two days, skipping another island all together. Nikolaos and Mary made us feel like we were part of the family. Of the 4 hotels we stayed in during our 10 day trip to Greece, this was hands down the cleanest, most comfortable, relaxed one we visited. Their location to shops and restaurants is a quick walk and while a rental car or scooter isn't needed, there are locations there where you can rent one. The breakfast served every morning was delicious and fresh, any kind of coffee you desire is available, fresh fruit, eggs, breakfast meat, just lovely. We spent one day just lounging by the pool recharging. They have a poolside bar where you can get drinks and snacks delivered to you poolside. The property does back up to a piece of land that is being built into what looks to be another hotel but it doesn't take away from the delightful location of this hotel. I will say that there is a rooster at a nearby house that is kind enough to let you know when it's time to get up. Oh and, there is a hot tub on every rooms patio.

If it were possible to rate more stars we would do as our stay in the Aegean gem was outstanding. We booked a last minute two night break and stayed in room 9. All the staff especially Nickolaos were incredibly friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. We stopped in the Grace room which was tastefully decorated a good size and had a super outdoor space with the added bonus of the hot tub. Location was great, in the centre of Kamari close to all shops and restaurants, beach was 5 minute walk away. The breakfast was fresh with lots of choice. I would highly recommended this hotel and would love to return one day. Thank you Nickolaos and family for providing a lovely end to our holiday. Simon & Helen.
