Ikastikies Suites

A superb choice on all fronts, especially for a first visit to Santorini. Perfect location. Far enough from Thira to feel a distance and quiet on an evening yet only a 10-15 minute walk back down into the centre of it all. The views were stunning, sunsets spectacular all with your own private viewing. The suite was beautiful, with lovely rustic furniture and a modern style, fresh and cool inside without any air conditioning, the caves keep you cool. My bed was just perfect, soft and easy to sleep in, we stayed in the Spilia Suite with two bedrooms. Only one bedroom has a standing shower, the other has a hot tub with shower hose. George, the owner was the perfect host, always asking us to let him help us with anything we needed, and he seemed to genuinely want to do things to help which was heartfelt and appreciated. You will sample some of his own wine from a vineyard where he has a section for himself....the wine was high quality, pure and organic. The housekeeping staff were lovely too, always smiling and welcoming. George can arrange for an airport pick up for you, just message the hotel to let them know, we were charged 50 euros for this transfer. The pool in this suite is very deep, definitely not ideal if you're not a confident swimmer though I think George said has had taught someone to swim in it. Breakfasts are delivered to you before 10am at a time to suite you, the staff are quite flexible with this, including eggs.ham.cheese/pastries/bread/ very small pieces of chopped fruit/juices. If you want tea/coffee, these are in your room with a kettle. There are lots of plug sockets, a speaker system in the lounge area, cutlery/plates/glasses etc

Both Georgios & Alexandra are awesome hosts. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, provide valuable information about where to visit and when, where to eat and other details. Ultimately, they were even willing to do all the booking for a car rental for us and deal with our changing schedule for the car. I highly recommend Ikastikies suites. The views are breath-taking and you will enjoy having your (Included) breakfast on the balcony.

The most amazing hotel to stay in Santorini. Location, service and top of all hospitality. George the owner makes everything happen, just ask for it. Friendly, professional and has knowledge of all the gems in the islands. We will definitely come back!

This was by far one of the best vacation experiences of my life! I can't say enough about the amazing time I had while staying at Ikastikies. The owner, Giorgos, "George" is a gem. Never in all my travels have I met someone who was meant to be in the hospitality industry like George. He is kind, generous, welcoming, helpful, the list goes on. My experience in Santorini was well beyond my expectation and I believe it was largely due to the way George and his staff took care of us during our stay at Ikastikies. From breakfast served directly to our unit each morning, to the guidance each day to places on the island that provided such a unique experience, our trip was unforgettable. I hope to return to Santorini in the future, and if I do, Ikastikies is the place for me! I cannot recommend it enough! Bravo!

I doubt you will find a more perfect suite in Santorini. We spent our honeymoon in Greece with Santorini as the highlight, and our stay at Ikastikies Suites was flawless. These cave house-style suites are spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. Ours had a large private pool (perfect after a day of hiking or walking around Fira), kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and breakfast served every morning. The suites are in an ideal location, tucked into the quieter area of Firostefani, steps away from two of the best restaurants on the island, but only a short walk to the action in Fira. Every sunset in Santorini is an event. Nobody can adequately explain it, and pictures fall short; it’s just something you have to experience. These suites are so ideally situated that there is no need to travel to Oia or search for that perfect spot in the evening. As you relax on your outdoor patio, the sun sets right in front of you! It is nothing short of spectacular. The accommodations are superb, but what really sets this place apart from the hundreds of choices in Santorini is the staff. The owner, Giorgos, is an enthusiastic supporter of the island, its history, and Greek traditions, even making and sharing wine from local grapes (delicious, by the way!), and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He welcomed us with open arms and made sure our stay was perfect in every way. The manager, Nikoleta, was equally accommodating and always available to help us in any way possible. She was the ideal host, adding to our experience each time we spoke with her. The right staff can make or break a vacation, but when people you don’t know can make you feel like part of their family in only a few days, you know you’ve found something special. We have already started planning a return trip to Greece and will stay with our new friends at Ikastikies Suites.

Stayed at Ikastikies Suites for 10 days and what an amazing experience. The place is absolutely gorgeous, well-maintained, perfectly located between Firostefani and Fira. It's very clean and the sunset views are stunning. This is everything you would ever want to enjoy Santorini island life with great food, wine, sun and incredibly friendly people. And that is really where this review starts. Giorgos Roditis, the owner, his wife and their staff are the most wonderful, warm and genuine people you will ever come across in your life. Not only do they try, and succeed, to make your stay as pleasant and easy as you like, they are truly doing everything they can to give you the best experience of what Greece has to offer. Their hospitality and generosity is unsurpassed and whilst you may get great service in high-end hotels across the world, the heart-felt and genuine care of the owner and his team is truly unique and literally makes the world a better place and your vacation an oasis of appreciation. I imagine I will be back here. 10 stars if I could.
