Hotels near Yalong Bay, Sanya

hello, our family had a magnificent experience in Hainan for the first time and this hotel made us more comfortable during our trip. the location was really near to the beach it’s about 7 mins walk, even though hotel staff were always welcome to take us to the beach. also the hotel room was actually cheap even though it was clean and comfortable. lastly i really appreciate that hotel stuff’s “ million dollar smile” thank you guys. I’m recommending this hotel u guys thank u.

I originally planned not to come to this hotel again, but the meticulous concern of the customer service Xiaochan changed my view of the hotel. In recent years, every time I come to Hainan, I will choose to stay at Huayu Hotel. This year, I don’t know why I changed to Swissotel. For many years, I have chosen here, mainly because the hotel is relatively high-end, close to the commercial street, dining, shopping, and the beach. It also has 3 independent swimming pools and gyms. This time I brought my mother to vacation. The front desk gave me a window view close to the commercial street. It was very noisy, the food smelled strong, and it was not easy to open the window. I also specifically told the front desk guy about the room requirements in advance. I wanted to choose a pool and courtyard view. The check-in was very slow. There were not many people and I waited for about 15 minutes. In the end, the guy still made it close to the commercial street. I didn’t ask to change the room, but I was very dissatisfied. I feel that the management of Swissotel is different from the previous Huayu. At that time, I planned not to come in the future. But later, the customer service Xiaochan called to ask about the check-in experience, which not only solved some of my problems, but also made us feel the hotel’s concern for guests. Thank you! In fact, when traveling abroad, it is a blessing for travelers to meet more hotel managers like Xiaochan. Thank you for choosing Huayu again next time.

This hotel was perfect. A 10 minute taxi from Yalong Bay and a 10 minute taxi from the forest. We had a 4 night stay. There is a night market a 3 minute walk from the hotel which we spend most evenings trying Hainan delicacies. The hotel room is spacious with a nice shower, and pool which is actually open earlier and later than what was said on trip.com. Aircon worked very well, staff kept the room clean for us. Easy to deliver food to room. An unforgettable stay and experience in Sanya. Thank you ❤️

The front desk service was great as there are buggy service to the main road, night market nearby with many bars/dining places, recommendations on things to do in sanya and free coffee and beer from the cafe downstairs. It was nice that we were able to order food delivery from meituan and food to be served in room from the cafe nearby as well. 前台的服务特别好，可以约车到马路边，附近有很多吃喝玩乐，前台的小姐姐还会推荐三亚的活动，楼下的咖啡厅也可以取免费的咖啡和啤酒。最棒的是能美团到房间。

The service is first-rate, and there is a free breakfast for children in the morning. The coach who introduced surfing is very dedicated. The view from the room is amazing, the sliding door can be fully opened, and the electric curtains. It is very quiet at night. The back door is very lively with bars and night markets. It is a quiet homestay in a bustling city, which is great. It would be even more perfect if there were bathrobes.

TLDR: Had really high expectations when I booked this 5 diamond hotel, however the stay experience fell short from the expectations. The Good: + Was offered room upgrade to sea view room during checked in. + Interior and exterior design of the hotel is really sets a relaxing tone to the entire stay. + It was a nice touch having Bellboys to help us with luggage and open doors whenever we arrive at the hotel lobby + Staffs and cleaners greeted us was also a nice touch + Breakfast options are extensive (including fresh juice bar and daily special juice concoction) + Free hotel activities to do daily + Gym is well maintained and a good number of machines The Bad - (Presales) Didn’t appreciate the fact that the booking page didn’t state the hotel deposit amount (which is slightly more than 1 time the hotel room price) and was only mentioned during check-in. Prior the trip, I tried to ask about whether there’s any hotel deposit via Trip.com message to hotel function and there’s no reply at all. (I mean a 3 diamond star hotel I stayed previous replied… but a 5 diamond star hotel didn’t). - (Not controllable) Sadly, there’s construction going on and can see cranes and construction machinery hindering the view of the sea, as well as the noises. - There’s supposedly a butler assigned to each guest, but my butler only added me on WeChat several hours after checkin. Also, was asking the butler about one of the afternoon hotel was still going on as we reached the venue and there’s no one around. He said he will check and then no reply for 20mins before I messaged him to inform that we won’t be waiting anymore. Didn’t appreciate that there’s no follow up. - The shower control knob will suddenly fall off at certain angle which can be rather dangerous given that it has quite a weight to it. - The bathtub’s shower head keeps leaking when we turned the other tap on to fill the bathtub, and we had to put the shower head into the bathtub to prevent flooding. All in all, it fell short on expectations in terms of the service compared to the service my partner and I had experienced in a 3 diamond star hotel at a fraction of this hotel’s price. Nonetheless, it is really a gorgeous place to stay in. Tastefully decorated and smell really great. Most of the staffs are friendly.

Stayed 4 days in a hotel. The hotel is located nearby the biggest shopping mall in dadunhai area, which provides a big number of attractions inside, fine dining and shopping. Dadunhai beach is okay with well developed infrastructure. Breakfast is perfect with a huge amounts of dishes both European, Russian and Chinese cuisine.

Service of the hotel was very good even though they don’t speak English, they assist you through translation app willing to help. Especially person on the front desk helped us a lot. Food is delicious, rich variety. Room is clean. You can walk to the beach. It takes 5-10 mins. It’s near to the summer and pineapple malls. There is a free shuttle bus to duty free mall. You can take info from the front desk. We enjoyed our stay.

Best location and best hotel in Dadonghai Sanya. direct tunnel walkway to the sea from hotel. Spectacular breakfast with western and Chinese flavor. even picky eaters will walk away with full belly. Room is spacious, modern and with breathtaking views of the sea. Be sure to get the sea view room with breakfast. it's worth it. Hotel staff is good. if you have any questions or problems ask for manager Jim . he is the best in hospitality and service. the hotel has two swimming pools. one for kids and one for adults on top floor. it would be even better if the pools are heated and the have a jacuzzi by pool area. Hope they keep up the good service, strive for even better and be prosperous.

As always Sunshine Resort in Sanya is like a home always from home...but with better cooking :) From the warm welcome from Vanessa at the front desk...to all the cleaners, wait staff and pool staff..you are treated as a valued visitor. It is great to see the extra loung chairs at the pool and on the property above the beach and chairs and umbrellas on the beach...well done. A big benefit is the newly developed bosrdwalk that goes the entire lenght of the beach with plenty of food and drink. Also....although I do not have kids here..they always have entertainment on the holidays for the young ones. I will always return the the special...”Sunshine” in Sanya
