Awesome little town and best hotel in the area I can find! Very comfortable and helpful staff! Shame I didn’t have time to try their Turkish bath room! Breakfast was a spread! And easily walkable downhill and back up (about 2 miles) to the beach restaurants of São Vicente

The hotel although older is very well maintained, clean, with good breakfast options. The location is beautiful and accessible to visit the north of Madeira. Parking on the property.

Great accommodation for going on various hikes. Overall it is very quiet and less busy than at the well-known points...We enjoyed it. The food in the hotel is OK. However, there is a great restaurant near Lavrador.

Nice hotel with pool, balcony and parking in Sao Vicente. A good base for exploring the northern part of the island. Very good sweet and salty breakfast, fresh fruit and vegetables. Calm and quiet neighborhood.
It's a pity that there is no small fridge in the room.

Well what can I say firstly beautiful views. You must get a room with a view. Stunning backdrop. If your after a bar drinking holiday this is not for you. It's in the middle of nowhere which is what I wanted really.A chilled holiday by the pool.A car is a must.The walk to Sao Vicente is a lovely stroll downhill and downhill and downhill again but lovely.Staff here at the hotel were great Breakfast great.Room could do with a kettle. You have to pay for safe we didn't bother. So getting back to the hotel from the coast is a challenge in itself.not many taxis about in October but we managed to find an x pat English guy taxi driver who helped us out and the hotel did to aswell having to get a taxi from another village. The fish restaurant near by is excellent i forget the name hotel will tell you.small little Portuguese bar next door very nice lady owner open hit and miss. Overall a nice chilled stay in a remote area of Madeira. Hotel and staff very nice.but you need to be fit to climb those hills. Enjoy hope this review helped.

We stayed there between 09/07 to 09/14, 7 nights, family of 5 with one child. We had booked standard room. The view from the balcony was beautiful. However both rooms had terrible smell coming from the bathrooms- something like sewage. We ask the front desk staff if we could get another different room but instead they placed scented candle in our bathroom as a solution. We also noticed lots of flies inside the coffee machine. In the coffee beans compartment there were flies. Nothing was done about it even though I told front desk staff. It’s definitely not a four star hotel. Everything is very outdated. Restaurant service is very slow. We waited an hour for a meal during dinner time with no one else there and food was awful. The best part of our stay was the pool and the view.
