The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of major attractions, making it a great base for exploring the area. The room features traditional Japanese-style interiors but feels quite dated, including the furniture. On the positive side, the buffet for both dinner and breakfast offers a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. A standout feature is the free shuttle service from Sapporo Station, which adds convenience for travelers. Overall, it’s a practical choice for its location and amenities, though the rooms could use some updates.

Overall, the experience at Cuishanxi was very good, but the service of several male waiters left me with a very bad experience. One was the male waiter who checked in. His overall reaction was very bland. Having stayed in so many high-end hotels, I felt that his attitude was average and indifferent. At that time, we were not told that we needed to pay 150 yen per person for the private hot spring. I was wondering why they didn't tell us that it was not necessary? But the most annoying thing was the male waiter who checked out the next day, a thin male waiter. When we checked out, we asked him if there was a bus (although there was no bus when we asked before checking in, just a tentative question to see if there were any variables), he said no, it was normal to get here. Then we asked him to book a taxi for us. He said he was very busy now. Didn't he think about making an appointment when he got up in the morning? ? Oh my God, am I here to stay in the hotel, or do I want you to teach me? I didn't say that a taxi would pick me up immediately. I just booked a car. It's my own problem to arrive early or late. Do I need to listen to you teach me how to do things? Fortunately, when we walked around and went back, we met a female receptionist with a very good attitude. She was very kind to help us consider three options and even tried to help us coordinate the bus position. In the end, we took the bus. Otherwise, I would definitely complain to this man! So I strongly recommend that other male waiters learn more from this woman!

Love it so much!!! Very big and complete place to stay for relaxation on your holidays. Good views and comfortable rooms.
A lot of Spaces to relax.
Unluckily that my health is not suitable for onsen so I missed opportunity to use them.
Pingpong room is interesting, I want to play if I wasn’t there alone.
Good dinner and buffet breakfast, but would be much better if I can change beef to pork or other meats.
Surprisingly, this hotel connects to Shika no Yu. Some facilities can be used together, so I roamed around and enjoyed a lot.
An evening lounge to enjoy music and snacks was so good. I really wish to stay here again!
Oh, one more thing, I had a nice pic from window to show you first snow of 2024!!

Room is huge and clean with private onsen. The public bath is impressive, happened to soak when it was snowing, great and unforgettable vibe! Everything is perfect with the stay. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, one wouldn’t discover how great the service is when things go smooth and will take things for granted. We received extra and timely assistance from the hotel staff when upon checking out, our car battery died down, the reception staff had helped with communicating and a team of staff had helped with re-igniting the car battery for us, can’t thank them more when we have a plane to catch in that morning. Really appreciate their professionalism! It’s the people who made our stay even unforgettable!

The hotel is amazing. Coming from Toya Onsen Hotel, the facilities of this hotel are simply a step up and there are no tour groups.
The whole hotel is designed with traditional Japanese elements. The children are saying that the owner of this hotel must be obsessed with traditional culture. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the toiletries are from Pola.
Not many people are in the hot spring. The 4th floor is a large public bath, and B1 has an open-air bath. When we went there, there were some people on the 4th floor, but no one on B1, so we enjoyed the open-air bath alone.
Dinner was served one by one, which was good for taking photos and delicious. We added two roast beef, one tempura and a bottle of wine, which cost 500rmb, which was worth it.
We didn't have a chance to go to the night lounge, but we will go there next time to experience it.
The hotel is very close to the attractions in Jozankei, and it's great to just walk around and see.

The location is very good, you can walk to nearby attractions and the station is nearby. The room is clean and sanitary, the view outside the window is beautiful, it is built along the stream, and the open-air hot spring view is even more beautiful. The Japanese breakfast is rich and delicious. A hotel worth recommending.

The view was beautiful, and best of all, it was great to be able to enjoy the open-air bath while watching the snow.
There was a wide variety of amenities, which was nice.
Dinner was a course meal using local ingredients, and all of the dishes were delicious.
Breakfast was partially buffet-style, with a variety of vegetables and desserts, so I was very satisfied!
However, I felt that the customer service at the restaurant was not very good in some areas. When I ordered a beer, it was served without being opened, and it seemed to take a long time to open it. I was also a little inconvenienced by the fact that it took a long time for the front desk to answer the phone when I called from my room.
The sizes of the work clothes and pajamas were a little small, so I would appreciate it if you could provide larger sizes even for women.
Thank you very much.

stayed here for two days ,the hotel is in a good location and it's a relatively nice hot - spring hotel in the local area. Here are some aspects that I found a bit inconvenient during my check-in, and I'd like to share them with you.
1. The housekeeper suggested wearing the clothes and slippers provided by the hotel. It's a pity that all the sizes are the same. It doesn't matter much about the clothes, but the slippers are too big. They make it extremely difficult to walk and it's very easy to and fall.
2. There are a lot of steps in the room. An elderly person in my family tripped and fell when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. You must be careful at night.
3. Most of the customers are Japanese. As for payment, they can only pay in cash or use Visa or Master cards. UnionPay cards cannot be used here.
4. One last thing to pay special attention to is the door of the room. You need to lock it additionally both when entering and exiting the room. If you don't fasten all the locks from the inside when you come in, people outside will be able to open the door. We've already had the embarrassing experience of three of us lying in bed when a group of people suddenly burst in from outside. Please keep this in mind.

First of all, Jozankei is too small and too remote. The hotel is old and the hot spring is very ordinary. If you just want to soak in the hot spring and play in Jozankei, I strongly do not recommend staying here. If you are going to the ski resort, it is highly recommended. On the one hand, you can book a car to pick you up directly, and on the other hand, you can go to the hot spring to relax after skiing without delaying your time.

Amazing
GGuest UserThe hotel is really beautiful and has a high level of privacy.
The matcha cake in the afternoon tea is super delicious! It is fragrant and not bitter! There are fruits after breakfast, small cakes for afternoon tea, and nut squid with sake for supper. The main feature is an all-you-can-eat!
Although the guide service staff is not very fluent in English communication, the service attitude is very good. Every time you enter the door, they will clean the uppers of your shoes and put them in the storage room. There is no problem communicating with the translator.
By the way, the ginger ale I drank when checking in was delicious and not spicy, and it had a very novel taste!

AAllytadahWe only had 1 night to stay in this beautiful paradise 🥲🤍
It was the best stay of our 10 day trip in Japan and we would definitely be back to stay here again 🤍
Location: in the Jozankei Onsen town that’s about an hour + out of Sapporo. Honestly if you’re in a group, just book a cab out, it was about $80++ for 3 of us! Otherwise remember to book the Onsen bus shuttle early in advance 🥹
Area around Onsen is nothing much besides other Onsen houses, a small cafe and other smol tourist picture spots.
Back to the Ryokan: this was my first experience being in one and I’m so glad I chose this place! Mum and sister throughly enjoyed it as well, using our in room Onsen ( there’s 2!) and also the shared common Onsen with an outdoor facing the snow too ❄️☃️♨️
Service:The staff was extremely polite and efficient, seeing the reviews of them being rude was kinda uncalled for. They were nothing but kind and attentive. It is a very quiet and peaceful place , I understand the need for all guests to be maintain the atmosphere too.
Food: amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan so far ♥️ the pictures below speaks for itself 🥹 private dining room to enjoy the view too🏔️
Loved small touches too like the mikimoto soaps , Dyson hair dryers ( in the public Onsen) And the chopstick souvenirs 🥹
I can’t wait to come back here again with my partner 🤍

GGuest UserIf you drive there by yourself, it would be very inconvenient to take the bus. It was around 5 pm when we arrived. It was already dark. There was no one at the front desk. Maybe there was a shortage of manpower. There was only one service staff serving us that day. We waited for 5 days. It took about a minute to see the front desk clerk. He should have gone out to get our dinner, but the service was very considerate and he even took the initiative to help us carry our luggage upstairs👍🏼. The room was large, the hot spring was very comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. , my daughter brought a lot of self-service snacks downstairs, we all thought it was very good, you can also watch Netflix, the hygiene is also very good, there are many sweaters and bathrobes 👍🏼
