We went to Barrier beach resort due to a sale on Luxury Escapes 7 days , we had no idea how perfect this would be , we took the risk with wet season , it only rained 1 night , we stayed in #2 beach Forè it has a fan no air con , we had a good breeze most of the time , if you want to declutter and unwind your mind the simplicity and quiet here is medicine .The snorkelling out front was stunning , the food was beautiful the staff and managers Wayne and Sabine made us feel spoilt , our Taxi driver Tusty was great , a safe driver , waited while we explored and snorkled the top spots , our bed was comfortable , we couldn't fault our stay ❤️

This resort is really lovely and located on a beautiful and accessible beach. Our Beach side fare (no 7) was clean, comfortable and very private - with direct access to the beach. Kayaks, snorkeling gear and SUPs were free to use, and the snorkeling a couple of hundred metres off the beach was nice. Staff were excellent- super friendly, efficient and welcoming. The entire Resort was immaculately clean and the facilities in general were excellent. The only downside is the restaurant which is the only food option available when we visited. It’s both expensive and underwhelming however we understand this is under review. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was acceptable.

Barrier Beach resort is in a great location with good snorkeling out the front and turtles and dugongs swimming just offshore. The accommodation is a little worn but very clean. Staff were great and the restaurant was very good. The daily specials added a good variety to the menu. It was quite windy during our visit which apparently is normal for that time of year. This meant that the waves on the beach were noisy at night. However once away from the beach and out of the wind it was quite warm. The beach itself is a little shady but well equipped with water sports gear.

We took advantage of a locals specials package whilst the flights in and out of Santo were still on hold and it was a wonderful treat. Sabine and Wayne, the managers, were great hosts and made us feel so welcome and inclusive. (They are both professional and experienced as resort managers, and it showed). The rooms are lovely and comfortable and the rain showers very decadent. We loved our night away and would highly recommend staying there.

To anyone considering staying, I cant recommend enough- lovely appointed rooms, stunning view with absolute beach front, big smiles every where. Everything you need to have a truly relaxing and memorable tropical getaway.

My husband and I didn't actually stay at this beautiful resort, we stayed in a villa along the beach up further, but we went to this resorts restaurant for the 7 nights we were there. Amazing food and wonderful friendly hosts. On the day of our departure, we checked out of our villa, went to the airport to find our flight had been delayed 12 hours. We were welcomed with open arms by the lovely managers at Barrier Beach. We used their lounge area, dined in their restaurant and even had showers before our late night flight. We were so thankful for their friendliness and hospitality, even when we weren't their guests. I would most definitely recommend Barrier Beach Resort. P.S The water is exactly as the photos show. So Beautiful !

Perfect location on the island of Santo. We stayed in fare 9, absolute beach front location. Lovely large room and comfortable bed. Clear tropical waters and great location to everything in santo. The restaurant was amazing. Great food excellent service. A special thanks to Marcel and Rose always great service with a smile and always happy to see you. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with great prices and amazing views. We will be back. Thank you to all staff at Barrier Beach.

We spent 7 great days at BBR. We stayed in Fare 6 which looked directly out to the beautiful beach. The staff are wonderful & very helpful, specially Marcel, Rose & Catherine to name a few. The food was very good, though one or 2 meals where more a child's serving size. I felt our mattress to be very firm, a mattress topper would fix this. The house keeping staff were great & happily helped us out when needed. We had 2 amazing massages whilst there - I would definitely recommend a stay at BBR.
