This auberge is a prime example of elegant hospitality, with excellent facilities and clearly effective management. While we unfortunately couldn’t dine in the restaurant due to its closure, the rest of our stay was exceptional. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable, providing a peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was a highlight, with an abundant selection of freshly baked croissants, breads, and à la minute hot dishes, all served with impeccable attention. The property also boasts a relaxing pool, spa, and expansive gardens, making it a place we would gladly return to for a longer stay.

It's characteristically French to find a superb quality hotel/restaurant in what appears to be a relatively nondescript town. We stopped one night at St Walfrid en route from the channel coast to Alsace, and it proved to be a really luxurious treat stay. The place has high quality standards throughout, both in the older part of the building and in the newer block, in which was our large and highly impressive beamed bedroom, with excellent shower room. The one-star restaurant has a restrained but highly professional quality, the service meriting particular praise, with a wine list that would take some beating, featuring bottles costing thousands of euros, but sensibly also including interesting and very reasonably priced choices by the glass.

When entering the hotel lobby, it is obvious that it's a very old but charming building, but the rooms in the new wing are ultra modern and sleek. We had a very large king room with wonderful bedding and pillows, large windows and many convenient plug ins for recharging. The bathroom was great with rain shower and fluffy big towels. A great stay!

Nous avons passé un super week-end détente à deux dans une des suites de l'hôtel. Nous avons spécialement apprécié le calme, la beauté, la propreté des lieux ++, la piscine extérieure chauffée en hiver et accessible le matin également avant le départ. Très bel espace Hammam et sauna. Le petit-déjeuner servi à table est juste parfait tant dans le service que les produits excellents qui y sont servis.

Nous venons au Saint-Walfrid depuis son ouverture avec toujours un plaisir particulier tant cet endroit est plein de charme et sérénités. C'est la deuxième fois que nous venons depuis l'ouverture de la nouvelle partie de l'hôtel avec son spa et sa piscine. Quel endroit formidable ! Tout est pensé pour le bien-être des hôtes. De la qualité de literie aux détails de la décoration en passant par la qualité du service qui n'a pas à rougir des palaces des grandes villes pour un prix vraiment raisonnable. Nous sommes des amoureux inconditionnels de l'endroit qui reste au top depuis tant d'années et mérite bien le détour ! La suite Firmament décorée de la célèbre collection des Cristalleries de Saint-Louis est notre coup Cœur et celle que nous choisissons à chaque passage. Un grand merci à Stéphane et toute son équipe !

Avons logé dans une magnifique suite de l’hotel. Rare de voir autant de soins apporté a une décoration!!! L’espace sauna/hammam est très reussi! Dommage qu’il faisait moche nous n’avons pas pu profiter de la piscine et du jacuzzi! Bien entendu la cuisine et le petit déjeuner étaient delicieux !! 🎅🫶🏼

Personnel accueillant, hôtel très propre et soigné, joli cadre calme avec grand jardin, architecture intéressante et belles décorations , petit déjeuner de très bonne qualité, piscine extérieure assez longue pour vraiment nager. Un lieu pour pouvoir se détendre immédiatement.
