As cheap seaside hotels go, this one isn't bad. The beds were clean and very comfy, our room had all the required amenities and more such as a fan and mini fridge. We also had a sea view. The area is not the nicest part of Scarborough that we've stayed in but everything is within walking distance which is handy and we really enjoyed The Albert pub across the road which has a beer garden. I've had to knock a couple of stars off though as I do think the rooms could be checked more thoroughly. Our bedside table had someone else's boxer shorts inside, the remote for the telly desperately needed attacking with a Dettol wipe and the kettle was full of rust and what looked like sand. I'd bought some porridge pots for the kids breakfast but there was no way I was using that kettle, so I ended up having to go out and buy breakfast and coffees.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, a very warm welcome from the host who even helped carry our luggage from the car to our room. Room was very clean and bed was comfy, plenty of extra tea, coffee and milk in the reception area - would definitely stay again.

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment it was top quality. Full kitchen full bathroom beautiful bedroom and upstairs full living room. Straight over road from the Albert. One stop shop takeaways. Few minutes walk to the open air. Few minuites walk into town.

A very warm welcome and helpful introduction to that part of Scarborough. Wonderfully placed for amenities, shops and places to eat. Room was an ingenious use of space and in pleasant relaxing neutral tones with a lovely view; the bed was really comfy too; the only down point was the shower door was faulty, but had a wonderful time. Service was impeccable and very friendly; nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend it to anyone, and will gladly go back whenever I can

The room we stopped in was lovely and it was clean on arrival, with a sea view to the left. However, there was a complete lack of housekeeping and I was there from Tuesday until Friday. The bin in the bedroom and the bin in the bathroom was overflowing by the end of my stay. The mugs were not washed overtime so I had to keep having drinks out of a stained mug. And there was no replacement for toilet paper, so I had to buy some tissues out of my own money. It is a shame, because the location, price and room gave me a good first impression, but the absence of housekeeping was a letdown.

We arrived slightly before the 3pm check in, someone navigated us through the data locks to get in via the intercom. Not having someone to greet us at the door seemed a bit strange but to be fair we were early. The room was spotless and we immediately asked if we could stay an extra night, we paid cash for the third night. What was very disappointing is no one serviced the room at all during our stay. I only really wanted the bins to be emptied and the loo rolls topped up- I ended up buying some from the shop. Not a big deal but quite a basic requirement you shouldn’t have to ask. I also bought soap because the soap dispenser had been half filled with water and it smelled off. By the end of out stay the bins were overflowing. The actual guest house is lovely but the extreme hands off approach was disappointing and the bare essentials of housekeeping were not met which is reflected in my score. Ok for an overnight stay but I wouldn’t recommend for any longer than that which is a real shame.

Very impressed with this guest house. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The host was lovely and very welcoming. We were lucky to have a fan in our room which was great as it was very warm. Even had a small fridge as well. Would certainly return.

PERFECT from start to finish very clean would definitely stay again and again very well situated room was very nice everything close by one stop just across the road pub as well 15 minutes walk to Peasholm park and about a 20 - 25 minutes walk to the beach 😊😊😊😊😊
