This was a lovely hotel with some of the friendliest and most helpful staff we’ve ever come across. It’s at the end of a quiet crescent just off the centre of Scarborough, overlooking a small park and just a few minutes walk or by funicular from the seaside arcades and spa. The room was large and comfortable with a great shower and breakfasts were perfectly cooked, including the poached eggs! This was a real find and we are so glad we stayed here.

Looking forward to visiting again soon.

We have stayed several times, always in an executive room which is enormous and has lovely views across the park. The welcome is superb, breakfast choices are excellent and we enjoyed a delicious evening meal. You can't fault the hotel for its location and its friendly staff.

If you want to be pampered we recommend you spend a few days at this hotel. It would be unfair to pick out any one of the staff as being exceptional. They were all very helpful, friendly & available to assist. Having mobility problems & discovering steps up to reception no problems - 2 staff immediately came down to help us .Nothing too much trouble! Our room (The Belvoir Room) was - well very roomy. Settee & armchair one side of the comfortable bed & 2 further chairs next to glass doors opening out on o small balcony overlooking a park.. Well stocked hospitality tray. Good sized bathroom with bath & separate shower.. There was a public bar downstairs & a smaller residents bar next to the reception ( open all hours!) Good selection of wines & beers at reasonable prices. Fair number of bar snacks available, but not until 5 pm. Breakfasts had a good choice of cold starters & hot meals were cooked to order. Lovely local fresh produce too. Didn't try the evening meals but there seemed to plenty of choice there too. The hotel is close to the railway station, shops, theatres & local attractions. We hope to return for another stay soon. Cheers Chris & Mavis

Having already sampled the fabulous food in their Reflections restaurant I decided to treat my husband to a 3 night stay in the hotel to celebrate a special birthday. Upon arrival we could tell immediately that we had made the right choice. The hotel is in a great location. There are a few steps up to the entrance which might be difficult for those with mobility issues and i would imagine it would not be suitable for disabled visitors. We were greeted with happy friendly staff on reception and given help with our cases into the lift and up to room 21 on the 2nd floor. Our room was beautifully light and spacious and tastefully decorated with plenty of storage space. The beds were very comfortable and there was a dressing table with a stool and a chair to relax in. There was a refreshments tray with a good selection of drinks and even a few biscuits, an iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. Our French doors opened onto a Juliet balcony overlooking a busy roundabout and there was a distant view of the sea. The separate bathroom was clean and spacious with complimentary shower gel and hand soap. We slept well but were awoken by very loud seagulls but that’s all part of staying at a seaside resort. I would suggest taking some earplugs if this is likely to bother you. We had booked breakfasts at the hotel - another good choice!!There are a selection of cereals, fruit juices and bowls of grapefruit and orange segments, fruit salad and prunes to help yourself to. At your table your server takes your order for hot drinks and toast and there is a choice of full English breakfast, poached haddock and poached egg, smoked kippers or creamy porridge. There are also pots of jams, marmalade and marmite for your toast. Nothing is too much bother for the lovely staff in this hotel. The food is hot, fresh and very tasty! I have to give a special shout out to Richard who is an absolute asset to this hotel! He is hard working and always on the go willing to go that extra mile to meet the guests needs. He seemed to be everywhere - on reception, on the bar, helping with housework, serving food ! On our final night we dined in Reflections and it was every bit as excellent as we had remembered . There was a 3 course fixed price menu with plenty of selections for each course. The food was beautifully presented and delicious! Fine dining at its finest! We will return to this hotel- keep up your high standards ‘The Crescent Hotel’ and congratulations on having some of the friendliest staff we have encountered on our many trips!

My experience at the Crescent Hotel was delightful. My first week there, I stayed in a superior room. Last week in Scarborough, I stayed in a more modern room. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable. I adore the beauty of the first room and the entire hotel. Breakfast was included with your stay. They had a modest breakfast bar. They serve delicious food that their chefs prepared every day until 9 p.m. The pub always offers daily specials, which begin at 12 p.m. The dinner menu provides a wide variety of options. There is a bar on the ground floor for guests to sit and unwind. They also have a pub attached to the hotel, which is reached by passing past the receptionist and down a flight of stairs. You should come stop by and check out what the Crescent Hotel has on the weekends. You won't be disappointed. On Thursdays, they have SwingDance. Friday, they have Open Mic Night. On Saturday, they have the Eastside Soul Club. The music is always popping off in there. They are not far from the seafront or local attractions. You can either walk or take the bus. The staff makes your stay warm and welcoming. I can't thank them enough for making my stay feel right at home. Once again, thank you to Nadine, Denise, Leanne, Moe, Marina, Estelle, Paul, Vic, Jess, Jake, Richard, Ashley, and Thank you also to the chefs. I apologize if I forgot anyone.

We were in Scarborough on Saturday for a classical music concert in the town and we chose the Crescent Hotel as it is well situated for the town and also the beach. Welcoming staff, comfortable well appointed rooms and an excellent breakfast in the morning. As a bonus the hotel has live music in the Crescent Lounge on Saturday evenings too. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
