Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Wochenende! Parken & Wifi waren inklusive, das Frühstücksbüffet sehr lecker und umfangreich, das Abendessen als Menue ebenfalls sehr gut. Die Zimmer waren gemütlich und sauber, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Der Wellness- und Außenbereich hat uns gut gefallen, besonders die Hängematten draußen. Auch das SPA haben wir getestet und für gut befunden. Einziger Kritikpunkt: die Preise für „Extras“ wie beispielsweise Getränke im Restaurant oder SPA-Anwendung empfanden wir als unverhältnismäßig hoch.

Wir weilten zu einem Kurzurlaub (zwei Übernachtungen) im Hotel, den wir über ein Reiseportal gebucht hatten. Im Paket war Halbpension und Nutzung des Wellnessbereiches enthalten. Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen, abseits der wunderschönen und empfehlenswerten Stadt Schmalkalden und damit sehr ruhig. Ideal also zum entspannen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zimmer sehr gut eingerichtet, geräumig und damit auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt geeignet. Unsere Halbpension bestand aus Frühstück und einem 3-Gänge Abendmenü in Buffetform. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, Filterkaffee oder Automatenkaffee zur Auswahl, vielseitiges Angebot, das keine Wünsche offen lies. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Möglichkeit, sich ein Frühstücksei nach Wunsch zuzubereiten. Diesen Service hatten wir bisher nur ein einziges mal. So stand dem weichen Frühstücksei nichts im Wege. Ganz im Gegensatz dazu stand das Abendangebot. Sicher war der Kurzurlaub ein preisgünstiges Angebot, das entschuldigt aber nicht das aus unserer Sicht lieblose und wenig abgestimmte Angebot der Speisen. Dies entsprach in keiner Weise den 4 Sternen. Hier wäre wohl weniger mehr. Auch wäre es schön, wenn an den Speisen nochmals Schilder mit dem Namen ständen. Das Buffet erinnerte eher an Kantinenessen. Das haben wir auch in 3-Sternehotels schon besser erlebt. So standen Früh und Abend in starkem Gegensatz und trübten den sonst durchweg positiven Gesamteindruck.

Unsere Anfahrt war ähnlich abenteuerlich...allerdings trägt daran unser Navi Schuld, denn spätestens nach der 2. Auffahrt ( ordentlich befestigte und teils beleuchtete Straße) war uns unser erster Aufstieg über eine unbefestigte Piste nur noch als Bespaßung für anderer Gäste Basis... Das etwas den absolut positiven Eindruck schwächende zuerst...wir hatten Zimmer 308....und ja ( ich 1,91 m ) , nicht nur die Kloschüssel ist extrem tief....auch der Platz für die Füße zwischen Duschtasse und dieser "Hock"gelegenheit ist bei Schuhgröße 46 bedenklich....das war es aber schon ! Also das ganze Haus ist eine Wohlfühloase....die Verpflegung mit frisch gepressten Orangensaft und Prosecco zum Frühstück ein Traum; der Wellnessbereich mit zig verschiedene Saunen, Außen - und Innenpool, Sprudelbad für die Füße , Wärmekabine, Wärmeliegen, Massage, Kosmetik großartig, das wählbare 3 Gang Abendmenue ( aus 3 Vorschlägen am Morgen ) )ausreichend, aber vor allem unglaublich lecker und immer etwas fürs Auge und den Gaumen !!!!!!!! Rezeption, Bedienung, Mitarbeiter im Reinigungsbereich,Koch und Küchenpersonal , Mitarbeiter im Wellnessbereich 1 A.....solche engagierten Mitarbeiter mußt du erst mal finden und halten !!! Und was fast noch unglaublicher ist: der Preis ist tatsächlich bezahlbar !!! Also dann... aber jetzt nicht Alle auf einmal...sonst bekommen wir kein Zimmer mehr ;-) Micha & Gitte

Ein exzellent geführtes Haus in wunderschöner Alleinlage. Traumhaft ruhig. Sehr professionelles, gut geschultes Personal, immer hilfsbereit, flexibel und kulant. Große, vernünftig ausgestattete Zimmer mit liebevollen Details. Die Pools (innen und außen) sind ein Traum! Das Frühstück verdient echte vier Sterne. Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr gut.

Haben Ende Juli ein Sonderangebot genutzt (3für2) und waren mit dem Service sowie den Hotel-Einrichtungen gut zufrieden. Gehobene Preisklasse zwar , aber weitestgehend gerechtfertigt, da beheizter Aussenpool und Saunen, freundliche Angestellte, Kühlschrank und tgl Wasser. Problemlose Öffnung der Saunen auch außerhalb der angegebenen Zeiten. Hotel liegt am Waldrand, ruhig, allerdings weitab vom sehr hübschen Stadtzentrum...entweder man läuft ca. 5km oder nutzt doch das Auto.
