From the King Shaka Airport we took a Shuttle to the hotel. Drive was about 45 minutes. When we arrived everything was ready, therefore check in was quick, no delays, even though lobby is a bit small. Rooms were clean and big enough, with sea views. Facilities, good. We took All Inclusive Package. Drinks flow all day long until 10:00pm. After that you pay for drinks ordered after 10:00pm. Entertainment at night is also good. They have one restaurant which makes services to be slow. Staff is friendly, willing to help, however I think the problem is with management because there aren't enough staff allocated per section, that makes our drinks order and delivery to delay. Variety of food is limited. Otherwise I would recommend it to someone. My family included teenagers, young adults and grandparents. Ohhh….., restaurant staff sang birthday song for mom and gave her a treat, small cake. . Thank you Blue Marlin.

We recently stayed at the Blue Marlin all-inclusive resort, which is beautiful, clean, and has friendly and helpful staff. But, we felt that the food could be improved, rating it 3 stars. We were surprised to find that there was no ice cream available, a major disappointment. Which holiday resort has NO ICE CREAM. The breakfast options were limited, and the egg station was extremely slow. The lady attending to the eggs seemed unfriendly and could even ignore guests standing right in front of her. She needs help We recommend ordering your eggs before the sausages and sides to avoid them getting cold. The croissants on the second day seemed to be reheated from the previous day, and the pancakes lacked sugar. On a positive note, the lunch options were really good on both days. Unfortunately, the dinner options were average on Friday and not up to par on Saturday. Saturday's dinner was particularly disappointing, with soggy and tasteless southern fried chicken, unenjoyable ribs, and hard wors. Being the main night. The only carvery option, available on Sunday, was roast beef. The desserts were also a letdown, tasting like a mixture of canned fruit and whipped cream. We think it would be great if the resort could invest in an ice cream fridge or improve their dessert options. We also found the cocktails to be a bit watered down, and the service at the pool bar was slow. It often took reminders to receive our drinks, which could take up to an hour. We recommend using the bar outside the restaurant for faster service. Lastly, we were looking forward to the entertainment options, but unfortunately, they did not meet our expectations. The website advertised dinner themes, but these were not available during our stay. Given the holiday season, we expected more. We hope that the resort will take our feedback constructively and make some improvements to enhance the overall experience for all future guests.

We spent the last week of Sep at this beautiful resort. The all inclusive resort was amazing. The staff are all so wonderful- from reception to the restaurant to entertainment and most importantly the kids club staff. Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars was the room we got was very noisy. You get all the noise from the furniture moving above and the people walking past. So my tip is to ask for another room if you get room 27 if these 2 things would bother you. Other than that it was amazing! The food was so delicious and plenty options. Thank you for accommodating my kids diet as well when there wasn’t anything for her to eat.

Blue Marlin All Inclusive needs improvement in professionalism, customer care, and cleanliness. I booked a room for an adult/couple with a 7-year-old online through their website. I selected 7 in the drop-down menus, and the system generated a quote that I accepted and paid a 50% deposit. Two days before our arrival, I received an email to do an online check-in and included the 7-year-old. Upon arrival, the front desk staff asked which agency I used, despite me using their website. She then asked if we had a child and confirmed that I had included it. She charged me an extra 1100 for the child, despite accepting the quotation with it included. A manager convinced us to accept a discounted rate of R350 per night for the child. The meals were poor, so management improved the menus until we left after some guests complained. I hope it stayed this way. The meals are clearly cooked for a large crowd without love in the preparation. The rooms were not cleaned properly, and the building needed maintenance. Used dishes were left in the passages of the rooms, and the eating/dining tables were not cleaned for the next guest. I had to request that they be cleaned before I could sit, which left unpleasant views and resentment about the kitchen. Waiters and managers visit our table daily to take orders, but only about 70% of our requests are fulfilled. We must go to the bar to order ourselves. The staff is uncaring, impersonal, and unprofessional. The kids’ amenities are good. They have daily activities, great swimming pools, and the kids enjoyed them. This is their only strength. The daily entertainment for both kids and adults is good. However, the place is poorly maintained. Regular cleaning is needed, and floor managers should ensure waiters consistently check tables and remove dishes. Customer orders must be attended to promptly. Hire a professional front desk manager to handle guest check-in, queries, and disputes. Otherwise, customers will leave and negative reviews will damage your reputation. Some customers come from far away and want a quality, tranquil vacation. I left as an unhappy guest and won’t return. My wife agrees.

Stayed at 3 resorts this December, the Blue Marlin was outstanding .Never had a issue with any service .The intertainment was the best Farah went out of her way to make us feel at home always asking if we ok .The other intertainment lady I think her name was Zeona was also always smiling and full of fun .The Hotel was full to capacity I even got used to the sand by the Bar .The staff work long hours and it was hot like 35 deg in the shade .Found the heated pool a bit hot a sugestion they should turn it a little down on a 35 deg day.The only thing that worried me was the bees at the outside bar not sure how to fix that .Had a stunning week with stunning hard working staff .I am sure they all are worked off their feet.I am still relaxed wish I could go back it was so relaxing .The Blue Marlin and staff outdid them selves this year .The Tv in my room was a bit small but it is was worth every cent I spent at the hotel loved my holiday. I even had a ride in the Tuck Tuck .Keep up the good work guys

We are locals and have enjoyed lunch and drinks around the pool on many occasions. On boxing day we decided to go and enjoy the new space after renovation. On arrival we were honest at reception about our intent to swim and enjoy lunch at the pool as we always have in the past. We eventually flagged a waiter and asked for a menu and ordered cold drinks and food. My son got in the pool and I went after him. A guy walked up to me and asked if we were staying at the hotel because we would need to buy a ticket if not. So I bought a ticket. This should have been communicated to us at reception on entrance. Then as we got our food we were once again told off by the same guy. Who I then told off because by then they were just being completely unreasonable. If they changed the rules of how they operate, then they should have communicated this all to us on arrival where we were honest about our intentions. We paid the bill and left after 1 hour and being treated so disrespectfully. We will never recommend it to our friends again or enjoy the space off season. Very disappointed in the communication after we were upfront on what we were doing there and paid for.

Nice hotel from lovely helpful staff, clean rooms and really nice food with the new different theme/country night food options. Since the renovations in September it has really improved the hotel a lot. I have been coming back to the Blue Marlin for about the last 30 years or so and thoroughly enjoy my every stay. The new heated pool, Jacuzzi and gym are all really nice additions as well. When we had a problem with no hot or cold water, a maintenance person was sent to our room within 5 minutes to sort it out. The staff that really stood out for us were Portia, who cleaned and maintained our rooms every day, Melody and Elaine who served us at meal times and of course Sam from the bar who was always so friendly serving us our drinks etc. The one and only negative thing I have to say about the resort is that day and some of the weekend guests really spoil the experience because with their uncontrollable noise and causing the regular every year guests to not have much space to sit in the dining room or by the bar. Also previous years there used to be a family friendly karaoke night which has now turned into a loud boom boom disco noise coming from the room.
